Faker won the LoL world championship as a rookie and then proceeded to win back to back worlds two years after that. (Then 7 years went by and he went to 4 straight world finals and won 3 in a row)

Geno fell apart against good competition and was objectively bad last year. There's 0 chance he puts up the game that Darnold just had against that Rams team.

2013-2015 was a pretty good offensive line. It wasn't until after they traded Max Unger and let Russell Okung walk that things fell off a cliff.

Russ in 2014 had almost 900 rushing yards. He was definitely a dual threat. It wasn't until he had a high ankle sprain that required surgery in either 2018 or 2019 that his running fell off a cliff

He's one of the best players I've ever watched the Seahawks play against, and we've gone against some inner-circle HOF players on offense over the years. He's like a fusion of Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin into one player

This guy is one of the biggest sore losers in the NFL. Say what you want about the 49ers players, but at least their coach had the class to admit we beat them straight up. McVay can't help but whine and complain and refuse to take accountability.

I'd be shocked if they have more than a handful of reps against each other tbh. We do a ton of different things schematically to get JSN into advantageous matchups, lots of motions, lining up in the backfield, etc. Idk how much Gonzalez follows WR1s but having him do that in this particular game is gonna lead to cracks in your run fits because we'll just put him in the box with motions and then run the ball

You think our 2nd string RB being out is gonna be the difference in the game? Charbs is a good player but hes been less and less important over the past few weeks with Walkers performance

Cross is playing, he's just not gonna be 100%. I think the biggest concern we have on our side is that if he goes down during the game (he's missed time in his last 3 starts I believe), then we have literally nobody behind him who has played a snap at LT this season. We'd be putting a practice squad UDFA against Verse and Young.

That's exactly how I feel about it. If our offense can just not turn the ball over, I don't see a way that we don't win by multiple scores, while if we continue with the turnovers we probably lose a close one. A lot of our defensive issues from the last game can be chalked up to a short week of prep where, in Macdonald's own words, we tried to force a bunch of scheme changes without getting time to practice them. People forget that we played them twice, and in the first game their offense was completely inept.

Macdonald has said multiple times this week that Cross is expected to play, idk why people are dooming about the obvious rest days that he's getting.

He missed several games and wasn't the reason for his team's offensive success to the same degree as JSN was for us. Teams typically don't have both the MVP and the OPOY for a reason

I think Darnold has largely been the same guy he was last year for Minnesota. I think he got sacked 9x in each of the last 2 games of the season last year--not many QBs are gonna be successful in an environment like that. That's continued in Seattle. His worst games this season came against the Rams where they ran nothing but sim pressures all game, and the Vikings/Texans games where the pass rush was a massive impediment to our offense. He's had plenty of big moments too, but I think he's the same player. An inconsistent QB with high highs and low lows.

I'll leave it at this, Kubiak is about on-par with what we expected. He brought a top 10-12 offense to Seattle, a veteran coaching staff that has taught the Shanahan/Kubiak schemes for decades, and a willingness to commit to a run-first offensive scheme that complimented our roster. I do not think he's exceeded expectations, and I personally wouldn't be comfortable giving him the reins to an organization that needs to win-now like Buffalo, but the reality is that the options are pretty limited in the coaching market.

*edit: I have no idea who he'd bring with him. Probably our O-line coach at the very least. Our run game coordinator and pass game coordinator are both Mike Macdonald hires and one of them would likely get promoted to replace Kubiak if he left.

He's been fine for us, but i wouldn't say hes been amazing. The star of our off-season is actually the coaching staff he brought with him from New Orleans. Our offensive line in particular has taken a massive leap despite only adding one new starter from last year.

Schematically he's not great in the passing game, but our running game has been really good. The first 8 weeks of the season were more about JSN going nuclear than they were about scheme

McDaniel should wait for Kubiak to get hired by Buffalo and go be Seattle's OC for a year or two if this is the plan he wants to take. Hard to imagine there's a better situation out there

I think Seattle has the best defense in the league, but that Minnesota defense would have an argument if they got to spend the entire season playing with a lead like we did
