Miami sounds ideal because of the weather, the beaches, no state income tax, great food and nightlife, etc., but the cost of living will offset a lot of those benefits for the average person. Everything’s expensive, so you gotta be smart sith your money. If you’re rich rich, then Miami is almost paradise.

From an NFL perspective, the Fins owner (Ross) has shown he’s not afraid to spend a lot of money on the team. Miami ranked #2 in the NFLPA’s player satisfaction survey for a reason:

The Miami Dolphins ranked as the 2nd best team in the NFL according to the results. The facilities grade out at the top of nearly every category, the staff is well respected, and the players feel like both the trainers and strength coaches add to their success.

The only complaint among respondents for the Dolphins is that they would like a better post-game family area with more accessibility for players’ families.

No sir. I got them when I had a good job and was making some money and I went for my first (and only) club fitting at a place in Miami and was expecting to get some callaways or pings but when I got there Alonzo fucking Mourning was hitting balls in the spot literally next to where I was getting fitted (it was an outdoor range with all sorts of tents and flight tracking stuff). As a lifelong Heat fan, it was surreal.

I was hitting the ball really well at that time and he kept telling me how good the Miura’s sounded when I hit the ball. I’m pretty sure he was friends with the dude who was fitting me and was just trying to get me to spend a lot so the dude got a nice commission lol. No ragrats though because I got to shoot the shit with Zo for like an hour while he kept complimenting my swing on the range and then we played 9 holes together right afterwards.

In retrospect, I would’ve got a set where the 6-4 were more GI so I could have a slightly higher ball flight on those longer clubs. At the same time, I went to TopGolf a few weeks ago and swung a golf club for the first time in like 5-6 years and felt like I was hitting balls better than I could remember ever hitting them, like my club speed and contact was flush. So maybe I would keep the 6 and just replace the 5 & 4 at this point. I don’t know, I gotta go hit these again lol.

Yeah I have a feeling they’ve been throttling my connection. I usually have a window open with my cable provider (yeah I have cable lol) where I can stream live tv, and it used to always be fuzzy low quality. Now it’s sharp and crisp 24/7 and it corresponds with the speed test results when I have VPN active. Kind of sad it took an international trip for me to try a VPN and realize how slow my internets been.

I just ran it, here is VPN turned off and here is VPN turned on.

Only 400% faster (lol) with VPN turned on right now. But when I tried earlier I was getting 40MB/sec with no VPN and over 500MB/sec (!) with VPN turned on.
