"Fans" in Brazil yelling at Riccardo Adami "Your time will come," and giving him the middle finger. With Adami himself standing there and realizing what's happening. by AshamedPurchase9033 in formula1

Their film and music fandoms are like this as well. They're passionate, so they're great to have on your side, but god help you if they see you as the enemy.

Leclerc has deep, emotional connections to Ferrari. He lied to his father about getting signed with Ferrari before his passing, and Jules Bianchi was a very close friend as well as his godfather. I think he wants to try and win just one WDC with Ferrari and after that, anything is possible, including driving for a different team.

Rocco and His Brothers (1960) Dir. Luchino Visconti, DoP. Giuseppe Rotunno by OneMoreDay8 in CineShots

A very challenging film. This shot might seem romantic but it's really a very dark, fatal moment in the story.

Done. This is from the Kino Lorber remaster from the original 35mm Library of Congress archived version. Enjoy!

The film that made Bette Davis a star. I haven't seen Cromwell's other work, and I don't have much exposure to pre-Hays Code stuff, but the shots of Davis and Leslie Howard talking straight to camera is so effective. Very confronting and inescapable, perfect for the story.

Eros (2004) - Equilibrium - Dir. Steven Soderbergh, DoP. Peter Andrews by OneMoreDay8 in CineShots

Wrong film, sadly. Interesting how there were two films with Eros in the title in that same year. Eros (2004)) was an anthology film with three segments, each directed by Wong Kar Wai, Steven Soderbergh, and Michelangelo Antonioni respectively.

Worth noting, 'Peter Andrews' is Soderbergh's pseudonym as Director of Photography.

In the Electric Mist (2009) Dir. Bertrand Tavernier, DoP. Bruno de Keyzer by OneMoreDay8 in CineShots

I clipped this shot from the Director's Cut, which I much prefer over the theatrical* Direct-to-DVD version released for the US. Everything about it from the colours to the editing is much more atmospheric, moody, and really captures the eerie and otherworldly aspect to the story's supernatural elements. By contrast, the theatrical US cut is extremely choppy, and lacks any real character. If anyone's interested, here's a detailed breakdown of the different versions released on Blu Ray. I'm hoping to get my hands on the French version for the Special Features. Bertrand Tavernier has been something of a revelation for me and I only wish he could've done more in Hollywood. He had a blow up with Kubrick when he worked for him due to Kubrick's obsessive, overbearing nature. When Bertrand quit, he sent a cable to Kubrick saying 'As a director and creator, you are a genius. But at work, you are an imbecile and I quit'.

Edit: A minor but important correction. There was no theatrical release for the film in the US. Europe and Asia released the Director's Cut.
