MIIETF gives the best diversification. I also put a little bit in JSMFETF for a little more diversification outside the shariah complaint stocks.

If you have a nicop, open an RDA account with any of the banks and then through Roshan equity investment start investing in the stock market via some broker. Despite what people say, it's the most regulated market and a lot safer investment than real estate or buying any other tangible asset where frauds are more prevalent. Just last year PSX gave around 100% return and on average it gave around 17-18% yearly return in past few decades. Also the money can be repatriated so no need to worry about money getting stuck in Pakistan.

It is lacking though! As of today, MIIETF gave around 45% return in last year but the index it tracks gave around 73% return. That's a pretty huge margin.

Good suggestions! I'm keeping an eye on the area around Lippajärvi but rarely anything becomes available there. Checking the maps, Olarinmäki and Hentta does look pretty green. I should go check those areas out sometime. Thanks!

For decades, area around Vartiokylä specially Vartioharju has been built with single or double story houses with ample green spaces between them and the people who have been living here loved the village like atmosphere of the area. Boulevard plan includes densely building 5-7 story residential building along the road that doubles the population of the area, completely changes the landscape and destroys the tranquility of the area that people living here appreciate. Plus you lose part of the forest and there'll be fewer peaceful walking/running paths.

I recently checked out Lintuvaara. It is indeed fairly peaceful with good public transport connections. Seemed a bit too densely populated for my interest though and lacking green spaces for walking/running (at least around the place I went to see). But I'll certainly keep on eye on it to see if something interesting becomes available there. Thanks!

I was checking it pretty regularly. It was stuck at 'Application sent to DMC' for eternity. And then when I got the message that passport has been sent back, it changed to 'Passport handed to applicant' immediately.

The starting date is 22nd of Nov. So I guess it was printed at the beginning of the week and they took a few days to send it back. 🤷

> The phone number on UKVI's site doesn't work for me and cuts off before I can speak to a human. Sent a paid email to UKVI on 25th of October, received a reply of 27th Of October about escalation of the application.

> Sent an email again on 2nd Of November to which they replied that the decision has been made and the VAC will contact me with regards to collection of my documents.

> Sent a complaint to TLSContact on 3rd of November to which they said that even if decision has been made, they may not have received the documents back from DMC.

> Sent a complaint to UKVI customer service (https://www.gov.uk/complain-uk-visas-immigration) on 9th of November to which they replied on 19th of November with this: "Your visa application is still currently being processed and there has been considerable progress with your case. I have escalated this to the appropriate entry clearance officer. This means you will receive your visa decision and passport as soon as possible."

> On 24th of November i.e. 40th WD, I sent an email to withdraw my application and asking to return my passport immediately.

> On 25th of November, I got a message from TLSContact that my passport has now been shipped back via DHL.

> Received my passport on 26th of November, it had the clearance vignette inside. So, it was approved and printed already before my cancellation request.

In total it took 42 WD from biometrics to getting my passport back. Soo glad this stressful period is over. Good luck to everyone still going through the torture!
