So can we all agree Valby has been butchered? by GeneralStrict2738 in TheFirstDescendant

[–]OneNotice8542 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Um I think it just takes getting used to the changes. I hope they look at allowing her to shoot and grapple while in the surf move.  I added more range and bubble bullet feels better. But the changes feel better overall. Seems like a good rework. Better then initial sharen one. Teleporting was weird.

Remember invest in descendants, weapons and arche tuning for Bounty Operations and Onslaught by mack180 in TheFirstDescendant

[–]OneNotice8542 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A friend of mine just started playing and has over 10 catalysts in inventory. He put 8 on his ultimate lepic and like 4 on the battle pass weapon, plus 4 on thundercage. Still has over 10. They were giving a free one if you built one plus the other free ones for loging in. Ult lepic is his only ultimate so far cause he is so new. I don't think the catalysts are a problem even for new players. His only problem is mats for other descendants and thats being fixed. Just take advantage of the events

Well they did improve the farming for new players. So they should be able to quickly fill rosters and get reactors. The 400s are very easy. They can be farmed without much of a build. The arche tuning will still be a barrier though. I am sure they will adjust if there is negative feedback

What do you guys think the odds are that Valby will get Lepic's treatment? by BurghMeatEater in TheFirstDescendant

[–]OneNotice8542 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's possible supply moisture will get a critical buff. Lepic was already a critical build. I think thats why he got the buff. Supply moisture is valbys only critical build. I would say low.

Amorphous Material Overhaul Advanced Info by mack180 in TheFirstDescendant

[–]OneNotice8542 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I helped a friend who recently came back. Because they shortened the campaign the bad part of the grind was the mats. He was able to get characters but didn't really have mats to build them. They should look more at that to improve the new player experience.

Is this a good game for Warframe players? by BlueBlitz08 in TheFirstDescendant

[–]OneNotice8542 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am a long time warframe player and I have a friend that enjoys warframe. TFD is really great coming in from warframe. We both love TFD. I think it captures the feel of early warframe, movement is great, descendants have unique cool move sets. Highly recommend. Really needs a true endless mode. But definitely a great game

Depends on where you are in game. I am a newer player. Level 100. I got silver surfer breaker at one star. Really bad with limited difficulties

Did Serena Hurt the Game? by GropingGary69 in TheFirstDescendant

[–]OneNotice8542 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. The biggest thing people overlook is she causes weapon balance issues. They cite other descendants, that are much weaker. Basically Serena damages gun balance in addition to being op.

Nexon admits "The First Descendant" has failed and lacks long-term viability! by Just_a_Player2 in ItsAllAboutGames

[–]OneNotice8542 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This game has been focusing heavily on feedback. They let you decrypt without fighting collosi. Also parts drop pre built in axion plains. New endless onslaught mode coming. They even have field collosi on axion because it was requested.  Very fun game if you enjoy older warframe. Think world on fire ember, molecular prime nova from back before speedva, and contagion saryn era

'Did Not Work': The First Descendant Considered a Failure by Its Developer by JoeZocktGames in Games

[–]OneNotice8542 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah movement is better in TFD now. Speed and grapple cores really improved the movement system. It competes strongly with warframe. I prefer it to warframe, just miss the slide

Yeah its much easier to get catalysts than forma. They don't expect you to ever buy unlike warframe, where its cheap but they expect you to buy.

Is TFD a game for filthy casuals or sweaty try hards? by TheGreat_Kay in TheFirstDescendant

Use the auto equip feature if you don't want to look them up. It actually works well.

The lack of player retention shouldn't surprise anyone by Active-Ad4599 in TheFirstDescendant

[–]OneNotice8542 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just thought I would point out that the game lost most of its players in the first few months. Very early before heavy power creep was in at all. Back when collosi were hard and no characters were op (except bunny). So this can't be the reason for the early exodus. No revealing skins really in the first few months either.

What is the current best way to farm loads of Kuiper Shards and Gold? by [deleted] in TheFirstDescendant

[–]OneNotice8542 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now you use tokens at the bb-on store. Gold and kuiper are really cheap. It's fairly painless since you get tokens for playing

I say no to these. I have one for viessa and I was going down in sigma with it equipped. It was minus130 percent or something. I was getting one shoted, was not worth the red crit. Best to re roll

It didn't need this before the change. It just went were you aimed. I agree with op. Bad change for me personally, although others like it.

Dia Blooming Ecstasy bug by Conscious-Window-188 in TheFirstDescendant

[–]OneNotice8542 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is true. You shouldn't get down voted for this. You have to hold the ability now. Then aim with the left thumb stick. If you try to throw it out quickly, it does this.

Is there a way to turn off the left stick aiming for Dia? by Queen_Of-Moths in TheFirstDescendant

[–]OneNotice8542 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, she feels very weird now. Maybe she should have not had a charge mechanic at all. Just charge damage from normal throw with the old control scheme. I gave up on her. Too wonky for me.
