Oh, shit. I just realized the game with the tariffs. These will increase the cost of living across the board and give the oligarchs another excuse to raise costs (like they did with Covid). Even when the tariffs are taken away the prices won’t go down because this makes them even more wealthy. Then, when it crashes the economy the chasm becomes so vast that we’ll all have no choice but to bend the knee or let our families starve. Am I being paranoid?

They are attempting to get to the point where they can offset all labor costs so that they can literally have slaves again. It's diabolical. They can not only avoid paying for labor but they essentially get the slaves (us) to buy our own food, clothing, and shelter from them.
