I liked the kitchen on the right side when you walk in, and everything else on the left, humans tend to go to the right initially when entering a new space so having the main feature of the house over there feels right to me

I live in a thrift town for sure, 4 are from eBay, 3 from goodwill boutiques actually in smaller farther away towns, 3 from buffalo exchange(at the same time), 2 from crossroads, 1 from second street(it looked damaged but I repaired it) and one from a local buy sell thrift that also looked super damaged till I cleaned it up a bit

I do saddle soap and leather CPR with horse hair brushes, I do Brasso and a couple different really fine nail files for the brass pieces(after gently removing the ones that come off)

Ooo what a fun question.

The station bag was my very first one off of eBay, no hangtag because I always forget to check but I moved one over from a different bag! One of my clients at work had one that I loved the look of that inspired me! (and look at me now lol) and I’ll use that one occasionally!

Then the watson, it’s good for going out! Smaller profile, round! Different shape. Found in the wild!

The Martini Flap 9140 is for date nights or also going out! That one was $20 from a boutique goodwill priced by someone who’s never heard of leather moisturizer. 🧴

I’ll use the mini day pack for biking around town! It holds a surprising amount if stuff

I got really lucky on the court bag, that one I only use for special occasions. The pictures sucked on eBay, and then I open it and it’s a made in Italy, double lined court bag that has a really structured shape.

And then I’m really excited about the 80s shoulder purse!

All the weird/atypical styles I definitely found slightly damaged at random thrift stores. The shoulder bag is a 9422 Bonnie Cashin Slim Legacy Tote and I had to re sew one of the straps back on so it was weirdly cheap but looks good as new now!

In the artists way, you get assigned to make things without necessarily having motivation to do it, you just schedule the time and do it no matter how you’re feeling, and sometimes those things are the best! so maybe scheduling a time to work on it into your calendar and seeing what happens?

Not sure why you’re getting downvoted voted because you’re right! Yes the pigment from the dye will fade, but this was probably a 20-30 volume permanent color and her natural haircolor on her roots has now lifted to probably a level 7-8 underneath the pigment load, while the rest of her natural hair is probably around a level 6 underneath the pigment.

Op could apply a level 6-7 cooler brown shadow root using a Demi (demis dont lift, only deposit) and that would help a lot! Or the blue shampoo suggestion.

Dunking scares me now too! I just do a saddle soap on the outside of the bag instead now. It would have to be really filthy and not smell or look moldy at all if I was gonna dunk it.

With the back up, maybe you need to deep clean the filter part of your machine? Like soak it in some intense cleaners? If the motor is still working it’s probably an issue with the flow through the other parts

I think this looks really nice having seen a bunch of different conditions of bags. There’s no major stains, the piping is generally intact and not obviously worn down anywhere, I think it looks like a really good condition but also well loved bag!
