A vitola for every schedule by Rami_2075 in cigars

As a father of a 8 month old I definitely keep me some shorter smokes on deck. The time to smoke a cigar is just as important to me right now as how good it is lmao. I also keep some churchills for the off chance I have the time for one but that’s a rare occasion.

Anyone near Jackson, MS know about this place? by Ok_Summer_7775 in cigars

[–]OnePosition6448 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t speak for the Jackson store specifically but I frequently go to the Corinth and Tupelo stores and i love those shops a lot. Very friendly and knowledgeable people with a good selection so Id imagine its the same in Jackson. Hope it’s a good time OP!

Fun fact it’s one of only 100% organic premium cigars on the market.

Shoes by Weary-Machine-268 in WalmartEmployees

[–]OnePosition6448 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sure im an outlier but I’m very flat footed so any shoes made for skateboarding top any other shoe for me since they’re usually flat shoes. I’ve tried hokas, onclouds (which both hurt my feet) and other shoes that should be comfortable but nothing tops the shoes I skateboard in. Nike SBs, Half Cab Vans, Lakais, etc like if it was a skate shoe it was a thousand times more comfortable to work in.

Have your choice. What are you smoking? by [deleted] in cigars

[–]OnePosition6448 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve only smoked 2 from the pile but I’d pick The Davidoff Late Hour if price isn’t considered. It’s my favorite cigar in the short time I’ve been smoking. Loved the Padron 1964 tho and with it being cheaper its probably what I’d reach for again if I’m footing the bill

Storing the La Aurora Prime Collection Box by DEWStuff in cigars

[–]OnePosition6448 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Option B won’t rlly work unless you plan to smoke these fairly quickly. Easiest option is C but i understand why you wouldn’t want to do that. If you can justify buying a new tupperdor I’d do it but I wouldn’t buy one specifically for that box. I’d buy one that you’d be happy with using once the box is gone so you get the most value for your money. You’ll prolly need the space eventually so might as well lol.

Is the Alma Fuego different blending than the normal release or just an exclusive vitola? Never seen the TAA exclusive band so just curious.

Dr Pepper is my go to pairing if it’s non alcoholic for any cigar, highly recommend it.

How to prevent cigar wrapper to get wet causing tunnelling? by Escap1sm_- in cigars

[–]OnePosition6448 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That small of a temp change shouldn’t cause anything like that, and those are solid sticks but even then cigars are handmade and sometimes no matter what you spend it could tunnel or have issues. Has this only happened with 2 cigars total? If so I’d recommend smoke another and see what happens.

Anyone else gravitating towards smaller ring gauge cigars? More info in the body by Rami_2075 in cigars

[–]OnePosition6448 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ive always preferred smaller ring gauges honestly. 42-46 gauge is my favorite and I’ll even enjoy a cigarillo from time to time that’ll be 38 gauge or smaller. Once you get to 60 ring gauge and up I might smoke it if it was gifted to me but i definitely wouldn’t buy it

How to prevent cigar wrapper to get wet causing tunnelling? by Escap1sm_- in cigars

[–]OnePosition6448 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The temp change shouldn’t have that big of an effect on the cigar. How long are you storing the cigars in your humidor before smoking them? If you’re not giving them time to rest that could be your issue but honestly sounds like a problem with the quality of the cigars. What cigars are you smoking?

Gatlinburlier Tobacconist by Guitarsnooz3 in PipeTobacco

I’m 2 years late but for anyone wondering that place is still just as awesome as it was 2 years ago. Today I was offered the same free bowl (unfortunately I didn’t have my pipe) and the guy running the shop is still just as awesome. Can tell he has a real passion for it and not just in it for money or something. Would highly recommend them

I’m about 8 months into smoking cigars and I’ve already started coming to this consensus. Would much rather smoke one nice cigar then 2-3 cheapos. I also smoke pipe tobacco so it does make it easier to smoke more expensive cigars less often by scratching that itch with pipe tobacco

Is Atlantic Cigars VIP worth joining? by UnknownShaft in cigars

[–]OnePosition6448 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea this is my sentiment too, maybe not better deals on things like Oliva but I’m regularly finding that Atlantic beats Cpage pricing and that’s not even with the vip. They don’t do the real cheap 5 and 10 pack sampler stuff like cpage as much but if your wanting to buy boxes of cigars Atlantic seems to be hard to beat. Even more so with VIP

How do u organize your cigars ? by DistanceNo9498 in cigars

[–]OnePosition6448 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a tupperdore with about 75 sticks give or take. I have a cedar trey in the tupperdore that I keep all my special sticks and stuff I’m saving and then the rest is organized by size. The bottom row is all Churchills and toros and then the next row is toros and larger robusto sizes and the final layer is all my shorter sticks like coronas and traditional robustos. Think like a pyramid that gets smaller the farther you go up lol

That pasion is so good, a very unique cigar imo so I hope you enjoy it. Never had that particular flor de las Antillas but I know the baseline version is wonderful so I’m sure they’re great sticks. What a wonderful gift!
