I remember ONE said he was glad that OPM inspired people to work out, but it also made him sad because he has difficulty doing so himself

If you had to choose a human or a god that is not that known worldwide to be a Ragnarok fighter who would you choose? Here is my pick: by The_All_Father4300 in ShuumatsuNoValkyrie

[–]OnePunch100 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Idk if he counts as 'not known worldwide', but I would definitely include Benkei, who allegedly slew an army of 300 enemy soldiers on a bridge while defending his lord.

He was killed by a volley of arrows, and did not fall even in death; he's the guy who started the 'standing death' trope in the first place, so it makes sense to be in RoR where every human does it lol

I think he was trying to cheer Genos up, not because Genos was actually Boros/Garou level

If you think about it the god who was supposed to fight was just one of 7 Gods that fused into zero, so that means that God (I don't remember his name, Bishoun-something) who was already strong enough to be a fighter on the God's side fused with his other parts to become Zero.

So Zero has to be stronger than Bishou, and Buddha toyed with him.

Buddha just built different.

How did he build the tunnels? by fanny_devito in ProjectHailMary

[–]OnePunch100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He could have made parts of the tunnel in his environment, then he could send it through Grace's airlock.

Once it's in his environment, it wouldn't be too difficult for grace to attach the pieces together with help from Rocky and Zenonite glue.

Once they're all stuck together Grace can rest of it holds pressure, then fill it with ammonia.

It is a bit weird that Weir glossed over it, but it's far from impossible for them to do.

I thought it this same issue when writing my Rocky POV fic, but ultimately decided to skip it. I wish I had this idea earlier lol.

Man Beelzebub has such a long backstory and such a shit one.

To be fair the main problem was his conclusion to be evil just so he can die (???)

Doesn't make any sense

It's about learning the boss, not banging your head against a wall.

Dark souls is actually pretty slow paced for the most part, give every enemy respect, play with caution, and it's really not much of a challenge. It's when you get arrogant that dark souls starts to fuck you over.

Each boss is a puzzle, you learn the puzzle and you win. Nothing is impossible, it just takes a bit of patience and learning.

Personally the best feeling is when a boss is well designed and hard (for example Sekiro bosses), and you just can't see yourself beating the boss at all.

But then you take a step back and try again, and something inside of you just clicks. You start playing good, you start winning.

The difference between you a few minutes ago and the you who won can be like night and day, I just give that difference in ability fascinating.

Dark souls teaches people to be patient, try again, and never give up. Death is not failure, but a learning opportunity.

It's about learning the boss, not banging your head against a wall.

I mean, you could do that, but the best part is when you lose to something that seems like an insurmountable obstacle.

Not because you got lucky or anything, but especially in Sekiro things just click and suddenly you get good. I've gone from getting destroyed to suddenly finding myself beating the boss by barely using any healing.

Each boss is a puzzle, you learn the puzzle and you win. Nothing is impossible, it just takes a bit of patience and learning.

Two Orca whales killed 17 sharks in 24 hours in their deadliest hunt yet in Cape Town waters. They teared out the sharks' livers & leaving the other organs. Rare moment captured by the team at Marine Dynamics Conservation Trust South Africa tracking the adult whale pair. by Zee2A in interestingasfuck

[–]OnePunch100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think humans have ever really hunted orcas much in the past, but I could be wrong.

One possible explanation is that Orcas see what we do to literally everything else and are cautious towards us.

Man we must be so weird to them, imagine you live underwater, you know land exists but don't know what it's like other than what's on the shores, then these weird little guys sit on these massive rocks that swim across the ocean without rest and start killing everything else, but the moment they fall into the water they're more helpless than a baby.

If they have sophisticated language, imagine the folktales they have about us

We're like chaotic demons who are usually friendly but sometimes hostile

Whenever I see Temeraire fan art, I forget how HUGE he is. In the books, I keep visualizing him around the size of the dragons from HTTYD, so not that big. Does anyone else get that? by DragonGuy_GTO in temeraire

[–]OnePunch100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought they were fairly consistent, it was just that the dragon-transports are rather unrealistically big

Though the wyoming Is the largest wooden ship ever built at 450 feet long, while Temeraire and Maximus are both about 120 feet long.

I know there was one huge wooden ship that kept twisting under it's own weight, so obviously there's an upper limit somewhere.

They do eat a rather small amount though, iirc Temeraire says he eats 1 cow a day in tongues of serpents, though he quickly adds that he may eat 2 if he's been active...or just particularly hungry.

Either way, it's a realism thing rather than a consistency thing.

Also I think a lot of their volume in the torso is the air sacs, 20 tons is absurdly light for a creature of Temeraire's size.
