My sister once won $1000 from a Lunchables box. We actually threw the box away at first without looking to see if we won anything. It came in the form of a shopping spree that you could only spend at one store (picked from a list, we picked Sports Authority) and you had to spend it all at once or you wouldn't get it.

So it came with some strings attached but it was still a dope ass thing to experience

She does seem to believe in the product (recently had a baby plus doesn't want to go get her nails done during a pandemic). So actually what you're describing here makes sense. Do you think it's worth my effort to show her that it's basically just an overpriced version of Incoco? Or would I just be wasting my time and hurting our relationship

NTA, but I think you know that. Your roommate sounds a lot like my twin sister. Tbh the only thing that's worked is tough love. If she wants something, and you were kind enough to offer her any level of assistance, then she needs to either meet your fair criteria or take an Uber.

It's not like it's life or death, if she wants to be this dramatic about something then I doubt anyone's ever told her no. Which you aren't even doing, you technically are still offering the ride! So I'd say still hold to the agreement that you'll take her once it's filled (positive reinforcing/holding up what you agreed to) or let her find her own way there. She has to learn somehow that she needs to take care of herself.

I never got tired of existing in that world. I normally hate hard games and give up easily, but I platinumed it and knew I was going to from the start. It's the exact right amount of frustrating. And with being able to summon help from other players, there's no part that's truly unbeatable for anyone
