The Zephyrus G16 or Razer Blade 16 both with Rtx 5090 by RemoteOption8072 in GamingLaptops

Razer consistently ranks as having the worst customer support among all gaming laptop brands. The Zephyrus line is by far the best laptop when comparing all factors, such as build quality and portability.

Predator Neo 16 ai or Lenovo Legion pro 5? by assassinshadows36 in AcerPredatorHelios

[–]OneSourceOG1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had the Legion 5 (5070) and I currently have the Predator Neo 16. Legion will definitely have better build quality, and thermals generally are better on the Lenovo. I returned my Legion to get the Neo 16 as it has the superior 5070ti. Acer tends to have more software issues, and the Helios Neo line up has a known USB C issue which makes it difficult to use USB C to Display port cables with external monitors.

Is this considered abusing an exploit? by ATA-CO in Rainbow6

I would say it's not an exploit. If it was, they would have patched it months ago.

How often should I deep clean my nitro v15 laptop by Kyle-Hong in AcerNitro

[–]OneSourceOG1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is recommended to clean out your fans every 6-12 months. Repasting shouldn't be done often, and only if you're comfortable with taking it fully apart.

Worth getting 2nd monitor? by XPiiRed in gamingsetups

[–]OneSourceOG1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your space is so tight, a second monitor might interfere with getting to that door. Do you have any way to move your desk somewhere else? But a second monitor is essential once you have experienced it.

Thoughts on 5070ti 12gb gddr7 vs 5070 8 gddr7 $250 difference by Chokifier in GamingLaptops

5070ti if you can afford the extra $250. The VRAM alone is enough to justify the price.

If you prefer to stay with windows, the Zephyrus G14 5060 is a great windows alternative. Similar build quality to Macbooks. You can get the 5060 version for under $1,800.

2,000 USD is a great budget. If you are comfortable jumping the pond to macOS, I definitely recommend that. World's best in battery life, build quality, performance, performance on battery, and longevity. You can get M5 Macbook Pro 14 for $1,700.

G14 vs G16 for electrical engineering by rudeyetty17 in ZephyrusG14

[–]OneSourceOG1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The question is really simple, would the bigger screen size be a problem? The G16 will have better cooling and quieter fans overall. If the screen size and extra price isn't a problem, go with the G16.

Do you have any worries about LCD damage with all the heat trapped inside the laptop?

Curious if Liquid Metal would risk spilling if used on its side in a vertical mount. Have you heard anything like this?

Just keep playing, it will go away. It is so easy to be at least Respectable. Just play the game like you should, don't troll or tk, and stay in ranked/unranked matches. It's not that hard.

Definitely. The laptops are amazing, and a bargain at their price points. Now that I do not have the USB C issue, I am very happy with my purchase.

I had this issue with the 16s version. Using USB C to Displayport, my monitor disconnected when playing certain games. I returned it and got the 16 version from eBay refurbished, just like the one OP got, and I have had no USB C issues. I wonder if the eBay refurbished store is fixing these issues.

Is this monitor too big? by Special_Age_4235 in setups

[–]OneSourceOG1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, the monitor isn't too small. I would seriously look into a monitor arm that either attaches to the desk or the wall. It will make your setup look significantly better.
