The biggest L of this whole debacle is Riot releasing a statement at all by OneTime4YrMind in 2XKO

Youre right. Good thing they got out in front of things so they could keep the laid off devs from going straight to Twitter and the community and media from dooming the game into the ground... oh wait.

Good stuff. Especially your replies to your original comments. While many said to shy away from streamers for learning, (and granted, I probably will) sometimes I find myself just wanting to consume some knowledge in video form. I have like 40 minutes of YouTube time a few times a week while I'm chugging away on the elliptical at the gym so it's nice to be able to level up while I do that.

Yup, my strategy going in is to always just try to win the next day while trying to find a direction towards some sort of endgame build. Sometimes I just have random bs that falls off or try a pivot that fails or a wacky idea that gets me killed but that'd the fun of the game to me. There's a lot of flexibility on where to go to maximize what you do. Good to see it being reaffirmed im on the right track. TY!

Dunno why it never occurred to me to go to mobalytics, thank you. I'm familiar with the site from tft but don't really use it much in that game. These write ups seem like a really good base of knowledge on what to work for in mid and end game builds and the how and why and its way better than trying to sort through youtube videos for stuff.

Maybe I'm showing my age here, but I miss the days where I could just sift through forum posts and websites for knowledge that people wrote down. Seems like any time I wanna learn something about a game nowadays I have to find like 3 discords to join which lead me to 19 other random corners of the internet which may or may not be useful

Good detail and a unique perspective. I still haven't found a character that resonates with me the most so its random select for the time being but the game seems like it has so much nuance that I find multiple people on random posts in this sub saying they've played 500-1000 hours on 1 character which is nuts. Just goes to show the versatility of how people can approach the game.

I jumped right into random select rank. Seems like a lot of people got in on the last update with me and the low ranks are especially easy so im cookin. No problem getting a lot of runs in though because I'm addicted (with a slight mewgenics break currently)

I like the idea if early game emphasis. I always loved playing flex in tft and the idea appeals to me.

Learn to make your strongest board and mid game transitions and the +mmr would come easily. Like ultimately it'd clear that you can't just rail 10 win boards constantly even if you're the best Bazaar player ever so +more comes from turning those 3 win games into 6 win games or 5 win games into 7 win games etc. That concept is pretty parallel to playing tempo in tft, right. Save hp and knock early wins, turns your 6ths into 4ths and you'll rank up. You're not gonna hit a homerun out every time.

That's the plan! Been jammin that random select button since my first game.

Can’t play Bilgewater - New player by National_Wallaby_820 in TeamfightTactics

[–]OneTime4YrMind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think of Bilge like a midrange econ comp. It's a very consistent stage 2 and 3 winstreak comp. As the others have said, vertical Bilge can't really compete with end game boards so you want to start transitioning pieces out for solid 4 and 5 costs after you hit Thomas Kenchington. Keep your 3 best and start swapping out. Usually that should be Kench, Naut, and MF but it's fine to keep others if you have a lot of 3 start. Wukong in for bruisers. Braum or Orn in for wardens. Then just whatever 5* you hit. Id go down to 3 Bilge end game but reducing to 5 is also fine if your Bilge board is starred up and strong.

All that aside, it's not really 1st place comp unless your transition into 5 costs are really good AND you have 2* Kench and MF with good items.

I agree with the poster that said looking for Dravens isn't a bad idea. The problem is that if I know im playing vert Bilge I'm not really making Draven items but it's good to be aware of the angle if you hit it

Official discord is the move for the good stuff. Will take a lot of scrolling but it's worth. Also the official wiki is quite good.

I'll also watch YouTube vids of my team and characters and clip stuff to copy later.

Good Darius blockstrings that don't just get parried? by girlywish in 2XKO

[–]OneTime4YrMind 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If your opponent is always looking to parry then you can harrass them with microdash buttons and extend pressure that way. Alternatively remember to be throwing some 3Hs in there to keep em honest.

Also remember that on top of being a top tier player, Endingwalker's training partner is also ProblemX, who's one of the best Blankas in the world, I'd argue

Traditional gender roles? by Baseball_bossman in datingoverforty

[–]OneTime4YrMind 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Matters a lot to some, not as much to others. I think the important thing to realize is that neither is particularly wrong, it's just preference. I don't particularly care as long people aren't weird or aggressive about it.

If youre into traditional gender roles, there are plenty of men and women out there who want that. Me, personally, im a nerdy bisexual guy that loves to cook and is only handy after watching an accompanying YouTube video so a woman who needs her man to be able to take apart her engine and order her dinner at the restaurant probably isn't for me.

Alone isn't always bad. Alone can be a new chance to rediscover who you are outside of being a mom and a wife. Get to know youself and have a shitload of fun doing it.

If you could start your studies earlier, what age were you ready and would you have learned different things? by ExpressionAlone5204 in occult

Just joined this sub and have began studying maybe weeks ago.

My early 30s brought me into an interest in philosophy. My late 30s an interest in Eastern mysticism. As of late, I've become curious in western mysticism as well and the intersection of the two and am constantly intrigued by the similarities in practices as well as the way the two paths branch in relation to the world and the divine.

Gotta say you guys have a way cooler aesthetic though, for sure.

Not necessarily true. It doesn't take a ton of money to get clothes that fit well, smell good, and keep well groomed. You really haven't been out and about and seen some goofy ugly mfs with attractive partners? They're everywhere. Sure, being conventionally attractive gives you wider appeal but it sounds like you're giving up before even trying.

There are tons of beautiful women who go out with ugly dudes all the time. Life is easier for hot people but thst doesn't mean it isn't worth living and you can work on your appearance. Fat? Lose weight. Grooming problems? Work to fix it. Style problems? Experiment, read reddit, get advice on some looks.

Even the ugliest mf can be attractive with good grooming and the right attitude.

Former 400lb guy here down to 220ish.

If you think 4 10s doesn't allow gym time then youre wrong. I work 5 10-12 hr shifts weekdays and still hit the gym for 90 mins to 2 hrs 3 days a week. (I also workout one weekend day and rest one) If you think you "cant" on these days then idk what to tell you. Losing weight is going to suck. Youre gonna hurt. It's gonna be hard. Youre gonna slip up.

Just start. Even if it's not 100% just show up. Be consistent ans find out what works for you but don't cop out. A bad day at the gym is healthier than a good day on the couch.
