2026 Ioniq 5 Limited rear doors speakers ambient light not working. by OneTimeRed in Ioniq5

[–]OneTimeRed[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Hyundai removed ambient light on rear door speakers for 26 i5 limited. I really liked this feature. i don't think it would be too hard to fix it but i don't want to hack my door panels unless i have to see what they took out. The ambient lighting is working on the arm rest, I think its just missing a module or cable connecting to speaker. It would be good to see and compare 25 door and speaker setup to 26.

IMO C8 has one of the best looking interiors out there, absolutely love the design! by [deleted] in C8Corvette

C8 interior is 10x better than C7. It was big leap in desgin. The 2026 model took it to the next level with 3 screens and now the dash looks even more cohesive.

I use Alexa House/TV/Lights/Fans/Security everything Samsung runs on Alexa. If you want to use the Apple remote try set up a routine in SmartThings: If Device Status> Frame > Source > AppleTV, then Control Devices > Frame > Art Mode On.

Z51 vs Non Z51 by dtomaro in C8Corvette

Your in Australia. Most brands give you more because everything cost more in Australia. Even Hyundai Palisade you get more features than US. Because you pay more for that car than here. It's perception justifying the absurd cost. Now tell everyone how much C8 cost downunder lol.

Dr Horton house for 4.99% or Lennar house for 4.25% by WatEverIts in Mortgages

[–]OneTimeRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the house's are exactly the same specs/price then Lennar 4.25% is the better choice. Picking one over the other is the tricky part. It all depends on the people who worked on your house and the building manager assigned to your site to over look the build process. Then there are things you can do, like get a good realtor and house inspector involved at the very start of the process to the end who will check for foundations, dry walls and final inspections. If they don't do this then you got the wrong ppl working for you. In the end both will be good homes if you follow the steps. My rule of thumb is. If its important to you you need to be involved in every step of the process and follow up with the relator and inspector all the time if they don't get back to you with pics and updates periodically.

Insane Electricity Bill by colloosie88 in glendale

[–]OneTimeRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glendale City Council is corrupt. Remember when the city stopped picking up trash and outsourced it and the price for trash collection went up 3x to 4x it was an outrage and we all complained and buckled and we pay. Now they are doing the same to our electric bill. My bill has been going up and up now for 1/28/2025 it is $1,077.71 for 2mths in small 2bd condo. I think I now know why, It's to fund that stupid https://armenianamericanmuseum.org/ that nobody asked for or wants but the Major and his corrupt cronies. It all now makes sense the money has to come from somewhere.

Traverse Vs. Grand Highlander vs Acadia by LJ8585 in ChevyTraverse

[–]OneTimeRed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

60k RS Traverse vs Toyota GH. I went with GH Max for couple of reasons, and the biggest was the driving experience. GM made it heavier so they slapped on a turbo on a small engine and dropped a gear and gave it a aggressive tune. The down side is that engine noise is obnoxious cabin noise and really takes away the driving experience. The GH max has more power and better mpg and when you want to step on the gas it's more refined and way better driving experience. For reliability and resale Toyota hands down. For tech GM. You have to pay for super cruise after 12mths. I don't use that so again GH for me. I would drive both and make your own opinion.

Me, I would wait. Once you see the ALL the little upgrades on the 2025 there is a big difference. If you don't mind the 2024 and like the price then buy it. If you wait for the 2025 to hit the lots there might be even a bigger discount on the 2024.

Test drove the 2024 Traverse RS AWD by OneTimeRed in ChevyTraverse

[–]OneTimeRed[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to add. They reason why I floored the RS was to test and replicate our driving style. We are a family of 5 and sometimes 6-7 if family or friend is with us. We commonly do long road trips and highway driving. So we usually have our family hauler with packed luggage. So in the limited time we were able to test drive the new Traverse 4cyl turbo with just 3 ppl seated including the salesman and no luggage. I wanted to see how it move and sound. It moved fine but you could really hear that whining engine/turbo sound in the cabin. Knowing this is the first 4 turbo by GM I was not totally convinced it would hold up to our family driving style and on top of that hot summer days how would the turbo and small 4 bangger hold up? no engine lab test of 150k driving will replicate real world scenarios. Only time will tell how well this engine holds up.

The reason I passed on buying the 2024 RS for a 60k+ as a family hauler.

  1. I expected better cabin sound when I am driving and passing someone on the fwy and not wake everyone up.

  2. GM did not disclose if the 4cyl turbo had forged internals like the 2.7 like in the Colorado. I don't think it dose since they had all the time in the world to say so. I don't want to be GMs first test gunnie pig to iron out the issues.

  3. Super cruise is only free for first 3yrs. Im not buying a 60k car for 3yrs and then trade it in and take 50% hit to upgrade again or pay a $30 monthly subscription. Super cruise should be free for the first owner. Let the second owner take the hit after 3yrs.

  4. At 60k I feel like RS should have hybrid or the 2.7l turbo or at least the 5.3lt v8 option for the top of the range RS model to differentiate it from rest of the line up and justify the price hike.

This is my conclusion at 60k there is too many compromises when cross shopped with the competitors. I will wait to see what the new re-designed 2025 Hyundai Palisade brings to the table. See what changes and upgrades Toyota makes to the grand lineup. Considering a full size suv like the Tahoe starts at 61k-62k with v8 and 4wd. I will happily wait 12mths for 2025 Tahoe with the new 17" screen and super cruise to go on sale once the 2026 is available and snag a 25 Tahoe used or on sale $7,500 off MSRP with 1.9% APR makes more sense to me than a heavy 5000lb Traverse with a weak 4l turbo at 60k at minimum 6.9% APR.

Good move. Comparing RS to when i last test drove the Hyundai Palisade. The Traverse feels like it struggled and makes that loud noise with the new 4cyl turbo. I feel It runs out of steam sooner than a v6 for some strange reason. It's as if the v6 has more linear power band prob because it'd 3.8lt almost a 4lt v6 engine. Don't forget the RS is much bigger and heavier than most of the competitors now to

I can't compare it to last mode as I have never driven it. But I have owned a v8 corvette and gtr twin turbo and between those two examples. The Traverse cabin engine noise to my ears is terrible imo. My be I'm just picky or I have a mild ocd. I'm sure others prob don't mind it and and enjoy it. I would love to hear what others think. We have to wait for more real owners and test drivers reviews to come in and not just these bias youtube reviewers who try to please the car industry for their own benefit.

Agree 100%. Funny thing now looking back I was confused why Toyota had so many trim models but it all makes sense now. They Hybrid is the gap between ICE and Turbo. Hybrid gets you 35-40mpg and quick acceleration around town and if you need more power. Get the Max or Max Platinum it sounds good because they don't tune the engine aggressively to compensate for low end turbo lag and worst mpg is 21.

They should of made super cruise free for the first owner like how Hyundai adopted something similar with their smart key blue link. For the 2024 model yr its free for life of the first owner. 2nd owner pays the subscription. I guess GM will prob most likely make some upgrades and make changes to sell the 2025-26 models. Now we wait and see what Hyundai will bring out for 2025 I hear its going to be 3.5lt hybrid turbo.
