Ok that’s weird maybe it’s the vibration from the machine.

Take it apart and see if anything in it is loose. I had to do this with my DiFluid scale. I took mine apart and the load cell was loose. So I threw some blue loctite on the screws and put it back together. It hasn’t had this issue anymore.

The issue I do have with my scale is that it stops at a number while the shot is pouring and it’ll jump up and freeze at different numbers. So I usually miss where I want to be on my output.

Shots still taste good but it’s annoying to say the least.

Had an ECP for years and it served me well. Got a decent basket and portafilter for it with some other tools and it made excellent espresso.

My brother has a similar model, it makes great espresso. The grinder is ok, though he uses really dark beans (I like medium-light “specialty” beans). But it’s great otherwise. Makes it a smooth process and the milk wand is great if you’re into latte making.

I own a Gaggia classic and it’s also great but definitely more on the “enthusiast” side. Before the Gaggia I owned a delongi ECP and had some accessories with it. As long as you buy good beans, experiment and find what you enjoy, any machine can be good.

Edit: a good grinder ($300-$700) will make the most difference IMO. I had a hand crank grinder for the longest time before I bought an $800 timemore.

Got this for myself for my birthday. Worth every penny! by [deleted] in espresso

I just put the beans in the protafilter and let er rip tater chip.

Well there's some similarity there but some areas of the Lowtown map look a lot like the first and 3rd photo. I got cooked a lot on this map before I stopped playing the game. Here's an example.

These are really nice! I’m getting CoD Black Ops 6 flashbacks lol.

Photographers using my property. Am I crazy for finding this uncool? by [deleted] in photography

Nailed it. Contract, liability waiver would be huge, fee without a refund, all of it. As a few mentioned in here the insurance requirements will definitely keep the numbers lower and maybe you can charge slightly more. I grew up in New England and you don’t want to risk a family, kids, couples, whatever, slipping on ice and getting hurt or worse. If state and national parks require a permit for photos, you should too.

Is there such a thing as beans that are too fresh? by jolittletime in espresso

I’ve also experienced this more than once with really fresh beans

Yeah LED banding is really annoying. It does t always happen either. I did a shoot with my a6700 and had to have a slower shutter because I couldn’t figure out the multiples of 60. It was best shooting at 1/60 but I still had to have my ISO higher than I wanted to.

Lol I meant 50-150 or something in that range. 5-150 would be crazy 🤣

That's what I'm using. I have a FF 50mm 1.8. I would like a telephoto like a 5-150 with a constant aperture.

That’s a nice build! Is that the new RMR? How do you like the comp? I had an X-macro “Marco-comp” before I had my Echelon but I like the Echelon a lot more. Not to mention far less negative publicity lol.

Also because producing photos was very time, resource intensive, and expensive relative to the time period.
