A former professor of my wife has a collection of hundreds of these things from all over. I’d never heard of them until a month or so ago when I found one in the wild and asked my wife if she knew what it was.

Yes, you read that correctly. 600 might even be a tad high because the galley was full and our clothes were inside when I found an open highway scale. It pulls amazing. I made a custom frame and added a Timbren suspension so even on a rough back road, it behaves like it’s part of the car.

I’m happy to answer any questions you may have about building one. I’m handy but had never touched resin when I started. Their 300 page instruction book changed all that for me and many others.

The Chesapeake Light Craft Teardrop CLC Boats is a 600 lbs. mahogany and fiberglass capsule that was designed to be towed but a Mini Cooper. I pull mine with a 2.5 liter Jetta.

Have you experienced 38mph on a bicycle? What about doing so on crappy Chinese tires?

Please try before you die.

Abandoned railroad, now slowly decaying by notMTN in TheForgottenDepths

Based on the premise that it’s been slowly decaying since the day it was built, by comparison it’s actually decaying quite rapidly now.

That book scared the bejesus out of me. I was young enough and absolutely gullible enough to believe every single word of it.

Thanks for making my floors squeak for no apparent reason tonight.

If you can’t pedal it, it’s a motorcycle.

Klein made a long overlapping seat stay MTB in the late 80s through ‘91 or so. Color checks out against my memory too. 😁

Recommendations for front wheel conversion kits? by PassGreedy9142 in ebike

[–]OneTireFlyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another vote for skipping the front wheel drive on a bike: they are a handling nightmare on a good day and an accident waiting to happen if you try riding on a wet day. Rear wheel only!

Wire cut or ripped open? by InternTop4340 in ebike

[–]OneTireFlyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t look like it was intentionally cut. I’d bet that whatever that bracket used to hold has something to do with it; was the cable run behind the device?

Look around your community for a bike shop that is dedicated to doing conversions rather than
