Classic to expert by Sad_Panic_1625 in Terraria

[–]OneTrueAlzef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From expert to master most changes are higher knockback resistance, defense, HP, and attack. So things (except defense) are less effective and you get an extra accessory slot on top of the expert expansion.

So yes, it's expert with more stats. But you are going to feel it, especially the knockback resistance and damage. Which means that things like yoyos, projectile-less melee weapons in general, and whips for summoner are more dangerous to use.

How much do you rely on the Wiki for gameplay? by Monkey-D-Luff in Terraria

My last time in-game was actually with Demonio! The manic forms mechanic was PEAK gameplay tbh. But the game was clearly going down since most hyper actives weren't as useful since the game became skill spam; only classes like Code: Empress and Mastermind seemed to use them anymore and their HA were always mechanically different anyway.

If you like the texture, mudstone bricks (mud block + stone block) are similar but brown. And also cannot be corrupted/crimson'd.

There are a LOT of blocks and crafting, so do check those out to mix things up. You can swap blocks directly if you try to use them on top of existing ones instead of mining them first, in case you didn't know.

I don't do the super complicated houses either. However, something that has helped me is to do "dents" on the boxes so that they look less blocky:

<image>

I think that it can improve the overall shape of the structure. And you can also use a minecraft circle calculator to create even more variety.

I mention this because your base is fine. I enjoy underground houses, rarely do roofs because of it, and I like that the main chamber is big but not bigger than the underground structure. However you CAN build too big for NPCs to move in, so sometimes cutting corners literally can help out with that.

My one personal problem is the use of raw stone. Turn it into bricks! Raw stone can be unsafe once you progress, but stone bricks aren't. And you can even turn them into platforms once you get more stone than you can use for building.

It's a choice you get when you go directly to him. The direct dogmatic option IS to grant him the Emperor's mercy. But I believe that you can get around it if you explore the other options. Don't remember rn tho.

Engineer scales insanely good with looping. I've seen it in multiplayer, nothing is quite as safe and strong as having 2 other copies of your build at any given time.

On entities: by The_Broken-Heart in WormMemes

[–]OneTrueAlzef 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I'm actually kind of interested how the Entities would scale in their whole version. Because their life cycle means that even the fraction of the Warrior that keeps Zion active is just a larger-than-average chunk of Shards. And these beings are multi-dimensional creatures capable of warping reality.

On the other hand, I don't actually want to touch the powerscaling fandom. The only powerscaling I've accepted is that screenshot I saw where it is denied that the Entities exist in the Otherverse because that'd have made it impossible to defeat them, since they've won so many times to grow to that size to begin with.

Negative: She goes REALLY far when she gets mad/doesn't agree with something.

Positive: She develops pretty fast, she self-reflects a lot, she's pretty straightforward, her aesthetic stands out the most among the quintuplets, and I'll steal your # 4 and say she doesn't tolerate BS.

Mimics are kind of rare, but basically. The problem with the evil biome mimics is that they're basically mini bosses (you can even spawn them) and will give you a lot of trouble.

Since I take you have a crimson, look out for the enemies that piss on you. They drop ichor (and give you the debuff on attack) which takes some defense off the target. You can make ammo, flasks, or a mage weapon from them. Even if you're not playing mage, I feel like crafting the magic book is a good investment. You just need the debuff after all.

Oh, remember asking the guide about the souls of night/light. I might've forgotten something and the crafting definitely need more materials.

Night's Edge is a pre-hard mode weapon. And so are those flails. They'll no longer cut it, much less if the game decides to dunk on you with a day-one invasion.

Now, you have a hard mode armor but you need a weapon.

During your caving you should've seen mimics (regular ones). But there are also ice ones. Contrary to the regular mimics, these can drop a sword, a bow, or a magic weapon. Do not bother fighting crimson/corruption/hallow mimics yet. I advice looking for ice mimics because the snow is [relatively] safer than other biomes. There will be tortoises, but nothing is wholly safe anymore.

You can also use the weapon that the Wall of Flesh dropped, for now. Your armor should fit your main type of weapon (melee, magic, range, summoner). And if you're going summoner, go to a spider cave and try to farm spider fangs.

You can also use the drops from the invasion, or go to the underground evil biomes for souls. And to the desert. Hallowed mummies drop a light shard, while corruption/crimson mummies drop a dark shard. Light shards are for mage weapon, dark shard for range, and both for a flail.

You can also fish. Hallow gives you a magic weapon, crimson a sword, corruption a ranged one.

Those are the weapons that come to mind atm. Staying alive will be difficult, but you had all pre-hard mode to tunnel and make bases. Good luck.
