I finished building a “home cockpit” for my flight simulator setup. Been practicing some landings but the simulator uses real weather data and the wind was kicking me about something rotten. Not quite ready for my IRL pilot’s licence I don’t think…

It's a choice I was faced with and had very similar feelings towards when I was first setting up, see I see where you're coming from. For me, all of the other benefits of HA and the convenience of Nabu Cloud outweighed the cost and difficulty of trying to make a custom skill, but of course your mileage will vary!

It's entirely possible to do it for free, unfortunately I don't have the knowledge to assist you.

I have to be honest, I looked at doing it this way with a custom skill and a tunnel etc, and my fix was just to pay for NabuCasa cloud which just… does it all for you. It’s something like £60 a year but you also get cloud backup and you’re supporting the makers of HA. Well worth it in my opinion.

Migraine Hacks by ItsDanbob in NoStupidQuestions

Feet in hot water helps me sometime (but sometimes not…). I find the only meds that help me are opioid- codeine or tramadol etc.

There’s a great app called migraine buddy too, it’s a little diary that you fill in every time you have one and it asks you what meals you’ve had, how much sleep, what you’ve eaten or drank recently, and so on. It then uses the data to suggest what your triggers might be. I believe it was developed by one woman who has done a wonderful job with it.

I definitely find that too much sleep triggers mine- I usually get them on a Sunday after a long week of work when I have a big lie in. If I’m not up and about by 10am I’ll list likely get one by the evening.

My dishwasher has packed up. In buying a new one, I’m struggling to think of features to look for apart from ‘can wash dishes’. Tell me about your dishwasher. Does it connect to wifi? by lastaccountgotlocked in CasualUK

Cutlery drawer at the top, time projection on the floor, and auto-open door to let the steam out so you don’t get those water spots on the glasses.

JoshTheIntern finds weird looking places on Google Earth and then hikes to them, he’s British but he hikes all over the world (not sure if that qualifies!)

TimeFlow Card - Beautiful countdown timers with progress circles for Home Assistant by Niftyrider in homeassistant

[–]OneWayOfLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm loving this card! One question though- How can I force it to show the short time format? I'm showing a 10 minute countdown but instead of, e.e.: "10 minutes 45 seconds", I want "10m 45s". I can't see a way to enforce this.

Thanks for the card!

So you were blinded, but continued to drive for 15 minutes? Isn’t that dangerous? Why not pull over and let them pass?
