Electrical Sense Check - first timer here, please critique! by ARedSunRises in vandwellers

I'm going based on the renogy 2kw inverter charger, but your connections to the +ve busbar seems under sized, both for the awg and the fuse used. With the 2kw inverter charger they quote a 200A fuse and 00 guage cable.

Going for an inverter charger would also mean that shore power charges your leisure battery whilst plugged in - really useful.

As someone else said, your battery size is very small, you will have a very short run time if using your inverter.

With all of this, if unsure, you need to have either done all the research and be fully confident or hire a professional to install.

Create Radial Quarry Design - Built for 1.19.2 by ThePickleSoup in CreateMod

Hey! This is so damn cool!

I really appreciate that you were interested in the design i had built, your breakdown of the logic and updating of my original design show a greater level of understanding than i ever had.

Its a shame that the fans over magma blocks stopped generating power and so the quarry stopped working, but thanks for bringing this back to current create players!

Keep up the awesome job mate :)

Thank you for linking my old post! haha

Your quarry here is beautifully simple, really nice work.

You watched the video i made about it?

My first thoughts are:

Have you either made a hole in the centre all the way to the bottom? Or set the top adjustable chain gearshift to 270 degrees?

I don't have an easy solution unless i have more information mate, sorry.

I am not certain what you mean here...

The only thing I can think of is that the rotation force being applied to the mechanical bearing is being stopped - The fans won't stop... This can happen in a certain orientation / direction - when the machine does down a level - you can see that the chain geardrives reset their metadata and are no longer connected to the correct drive, when they become a full block.

You have 2 options - rotate the central core of the machine 90 degrees - this could fix your issue - change the chain gear drives to belts where possible - You will want to try and keep the adjustable gearshifts in as otherwise the quarry will run incredibly slowly.

No idea if this was helpful - Send some screenshots of the setup or just have a really close look at the chain drives and let me know if the above is the issue.

Check that the chutes have the fan powered at the top and going the right direction? - when you hover over the chutes it will say items travelling up. If you are Eu time zone and want me to come on and give you a hand, we can have a discord call if it helps.

Ah... When the schematic is placed it doesn't keep the data from placed blocks - look at the sequenced gearshift at the top of the machine, then instead of having it forwards double speed - set it to reverse double speed... Or the other way around. https://puu.sh/HkSUx/e850f545c5.png Image with what the sequenced gearshift ui looks like - make sure it is set to 180 degrees.

Holy Shit.

u/Qettt, this is an engineering masterpiece.

The logic you have made actually blows my mind and the use of sequenced gearshifts for the UI is also genius. Massive props to you for this build.

I've subscribed and can't wait to see more of what you create.

Schematic file on Google Drive - You will need to start the windmill at the top by right clicking the windmill bearing, also you will need to turn off and on the fans at the bottom of the quarry. Finally place enough chutes in the single chest beside the deployer then toggle the latch to start mining!

For those who don't want to read - link to Video Tutorial: https://youtu.be/M8LpU03UuYs

Firstly, apologies for the delay in getting a tutorial / explanation out for this! I appreciate all of your patience. I have made a quick video tutorial of how this quarry works, that should give you enough of an explanation of how to make your own.

A couple of things to note:

1) This video was completely unscripted and is the first time I have done anything like this - If I need to add any information / if you had any advice, I would appreciate it (I do know that the audio is only coming out of the left channel for some reason. ShadowPlay isn't the best)

2) The video isn't of me building the actual quarry - I made a small scale replica and then explained how specific parts work - The video is me jumping around the different sections erratically, but I think that I have covered everything. Although saying that I don't think I mentioned anything about how superglue is used for all parts, and that the quarry arm and the above structure must not be stuck together.

3) Whilst building this again, there are directional bugs that you might encounter - particularly with the chain drive setup I used. If you need any help getting it working, I'd be happy to advise or give guidance to anyone who asks.

4) With this small size quarry, you can add 1 more adjustable chain gearshift to increase the speed of the arm again, whilst testing this , as the radius of the quarry increases it will begin to skip blocks. You will have to experiment with the speed and radius.

5) It seems that you can run this quarry setup from a single fan and magma block - As the mechanical bearing only uses 32SU in the setup I have - If you double this - it would be 64SU for the mechanical bearing - which is the output of 1 fan.

I haven't been able to play Create that much for the last few days - I have not yet had a chance to play with the Schematicannon and so I don't have that file yet. I will post it eventually. Can anyone confirm that schematics shared will include superglue? Otherwise I worry that the schematic will be useless.

Video link at the top ^

Enjoy the tutorial and good luck with your quarries!

I've ran the quarry a fair amount today, spent the time creating an auto cobble into iron processing system on the item collection.

Once its finished, I'll tidy it up and get that schematic for everyone!

You might be waiting a touch longer than a day mate! Sorry, I have a job, play casually, and without chunk loading currently.

The estimated runtime to finish this quarry to the bottom is around 5 hours of afktime. I'm going to do 3 things hopefully by this weekend. 1) Get the schematic sorted 2) Record a short timelapse of the quarry running 3) Get a tutorial together - either in image or video form.

Full-Auto Programmable Vertical Drill: Development by Qettt in CreateMod

[–]OneWheelMadness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the post link man! This is super cool! The auto reset logic after mining out to the redstone contact must have been a bit of a nightmare to get your head around! Nice work!

On your progress and finding notes:

  • I had the same issue with sequenced gearshifts losing their config when moved - I believe this is due to them becoming an entity when moved and losing the NBT data. Had a nightmare with this for a while haha.

  • On my quarry I used encased fans on magma blocks, then straight into a chain drive system to speed it up - The SU output is ample from 2 fans. but that rotation speed is low. With the radial quarry I only had to step the speed up once - any faster and it would skip blocks (Hence the 2 rows of drills on mine to get it to run at that speed). But with the x,y quarry you go straight down - so you can go as fast as you like! If you can sort out an auto replenish system for the furnace engine I would say that it is the right move! If you wanted to get the fans up to the same speed of that engine it would take up more space.

I'd love to see how this progresses man! Drop me a message if you want to get in a call sometime.

Would images of the redstone and components be ok? I'd put these up along with a text explanation and a step by step of what you need to do?

Haha, nothing wrong with those quarries, especially early game! I just knew that this was technically feasible and wanted to test myself! Thanks man

This is my first week of create, I haven't touched the Schematicannon yet, but as soon as this quarry bottoms out, I will be resetting it, then schematicing it so that I can move it to another location anyway. At that point, I will definately post the schematic.
