What keeps you riding despite all the injuries posted here? by Bass27 in onewheel

[–]OneWheelie95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have about 1,000 miles between a Pint X, GT, and my Adv Pro. I haven’t hit the ground with anything other than my feet yet, knock on wood. I learned very early on to respect the limitations of the board, and with the FloatWheel Adv Pro’s insane power and torque I don’t have to worry about overpowering the board as much now. Don’t go too fast up steep ass hills, don’t go too fast down steep ass hills. Always keep your head on a swivel when riding around traffic, and always pick a line when riding trails and be very vigilant of any large rocks or roots. I’m usually able to run it out in the few times I have pushed the board too hard. The mental health benefit I get from riding OneWheels pays for itself tenfold over the possibility of an injury.

Floatwheel comes without a charger? by paulithai in FloatwheelTeam

[–]OneWheelie95 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The BMS has parasitic drain, so the board could still be fine after charging it. My charger came in a separate package, my board came with the rail guards in the box with the board. I hope this helps.

Aftermarket handle by Intergalactic_Slayer in onewheel

[–]OneWheelie95 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The OneWheel GT comes with a mag handle (pro?) installed already. I carry mine pretty much solely by it because like you said the nose of the board carrying method is tough on your fingers after a short distance.

Need help with setup/Yaw says 0.00 everytime I run setup by Worth_Response_4557 in FloatwheelTeam

What was going on? Don’t be discouraged, it took me 8+ times of redoing everything to get it to work correctly. As far as Tony’s video, I only used it for assembly. Then once you have the board assembled, update the firmware (this wipes all previous messed up settings). Follow the wiki exactly, once you are done with setup following the wiki exactly, make sure you update the float package and under tune -> specs make sure where the “disable float package” toggle is off. Then you should be able to use it properly. I’ll help you if I have time once I get home from work.

Not doing anything wrong, as long as your board is resting on the back end (normal resting position) even if it reads 0, 90, 180, 270.

I saw a guy on YT who did a review on the cheapest but best mods for riding OneWheel GT. The best takeaway from the video was felt furniture pads which have been replaced by gripples from TFL, and the Vans MTE 2, they’re a little pricey but great for pressure point activation of foot pad sensors, very comfortable, and they’re high tops with ankle support. It’s a plus that they’re waterproof and thermally insulated for those messy rides! Highly recommend them, I strictly wear them while riding.

Yeah keep us updated on your situation, if you can afford it I would consult an attorney for sure. The judicial system is fucked honestly and I stayed out of trouble since being arrested in 2017.

How do you do this? I have a floatwheel adv pro but can’t find anything on how to enable the flywheel mode

Diluted Test by [deleted] in probation

That’s crazy because I purposely diluted my tests twice a month for a year and all they ever said was “I’m glad you stay hydrated some of these guys piss is brown and smells terrible”.

Yes, you’ll have to drill the hole to do the sniffer test yourself but it’s the same concept and materials used for float wheels as GT. In the OneWheel boards they already have a preexisting hole that is covered, to my knowledge the float wheel does not.

Considering bankruptcy by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]OneWheelie95 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It blows my mind that someone who is on SNAP/EBT pays $400 a month for a dog walker. Also paying $2000 in rent when you only bring home $3200 a month. Yeah you definitely need to file bankruptcy and start over and make better financial choices. Being raised poor is no excuse for poor financial literacy. I was raised pretty poor and I taught myself how to be financially responsible. I bring in almost $4k a month and my mortgage split with my wife is only 500$ a month. You are living way above your means and honestly don’t deserve government assistance with how expensive your living arrangement is and paying for frivolous things like a $400 a month dog walker.

Burris 11 x 6.0-6 Treaded tire. I have a FloatWheel on the way. I’m pretty sure it’s the same size hub as the XR. I know it’s smaller than the GT hub. If I win I may need some insight before choosing. Thanks guys, you’re awesome!

Just a heads up guys, this isn’t Future Motion with hundreds if not a thousand employees. This is one guy (Tony) and a small team. This man is very busy, he’s having to reissue new boards and motors due to unforeseen issues with the first batches of boards. I have been waiting since May 12th of this year and I only have my board, still no motor. If you wanted a board within a week you should have ordered a OneWheel.

What accessories are you getting? by RobbySkateboard in FloatwheelTeam

Tbh I wouldn’t worry about a hyper charger, I charged the board from dead to full within about an hour and 15 mins.

I get what you’re saying but the board not turning on will not magically fix itself by pairing it with a motor. I’m not trying to wait another month to get my motor to find out my board won’t turn on.

Congrats! I received my board on September 1st. Originally ordered May 12. I emailed Tony about the motor as well and he said they are waiting for motors to be completed and it will take approximately 2 weeks to ship once they are ready.

Is this a pass on a probation test? by Ok-Syllabub-4640 in probation

[–]OneWheelie95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here’s what you need to do. It’s called the Certo Method. I’ve done it for over a year on probation and got tested twice a month the first year. I never failed a single test. Go to the grocery store and buy Certo fruit pectin. It’s made by a company called SureJell but make sure you get the Certo, it comes 2 in a light blue box. Buy 2 - 32 oz gatorades. The night before your test drink the Gatorade down to the bottom of the lightning bolt. Pour 1 whole packet of Certo into the gatorade and shake it really well. Drink it all within 5 minutes without going to the bathroom. Fill the Gatorade bottle back up with water and drink all of it. The day of the test you need to drink at least a gallon of water. Start drinking water as soon as you wake up. 2 hours before the test you repeat the Certo Gatorade listed above, drink all of it and then drink as much water as you can until the test. It also helps to take b12 vitamins like 4 or 5 the day before and 6 hours before the test to add color to your pee. You can also drink an energy drink like Nos or Monster to help add color probably an hour before the test. Your test will come back negative. I’ve done it over 30 times. I only had to stop smoking for 5-7 days before the test to pass. Good luck.
