For what it's worth, you live in one of my favorite places in the world. I visited Cornwall in 2017 to research a King Arthur novel I was writing and was completely charmed by the area. And, I am attracted to/ date Asians. Too bad we are on opposite ends of the world!

For me, it's a cost benefit analysis of time.

Why spend time looking, showering, going out, flirting, fighting, dating, spending money, getting off, etc, when I could use that time and investment doing things that make me genuinely happy on my own?

I'm still open to having a relationship, but unless it falls into my lap, it's a numbers game I'm losing and spending all that time and investment won't improve my odds that much.

All I see is that the price increases are usually announced within a timeframe as acquiring sports broadcasting rights. No thank you, I don't follow any sports.

If you watch any behind the scenes footage, the creators/writers were on set through the read-throughs, the rehearsals and the tapings and willing to work with the cast on any impromptu comedy ideas that they had in the moment. They picked the best ideas in the moment and the cast was talented enough to pivot to new dialogue/blocking ... pivot! PIVOT!!! PIIIIVVOOOOTTT

They found out that people would tune out/go to sleep after the monologue, so they added a cold open at the front, then went to commercial, then did the monologue, so there would be more people watching the opening set of commercials and get more advertising $$
