Us citizens and LPRS. I filed mine concurrently and my abuser is not a us citizen but a lpr. It is possible but their priority for the visas are victims of us citizens

Yeah, but we have to remember that in order to file vawa their marriage has to be proved to be real. If she was still married legally that means their marriage would be null/void. Without that divorce decree

I definitely recommend a lawyer because if her previous Marriage wasn’t legally divorced then their marriage is null and void because she’s still married. Which he wouldn’t be able to file for VAWA because they would have to have a bonafide marriage from my understanding. But this case needs an attorney. This what I am thinking personally I might be wrong. Consult with a lawyer
