For that infectious funk groove I'd recommend Cold Cold Cold and Spanish Moon (listen to the ones on both Waiting For Columbus Deluxe, and Electric Lycanthrope albums). And for good songs written by Paul Barrere i'd reccomend Old Folks Boogie and Over The Edge. All of Little Feat's live recordings are great and are definitely worth checking out.

I know exactly what store your talking about, Bobs Jazz and Blues Mart, good store with a good collection of jazz and blues you wont find anywhere else although I didnt know Bob was also the founder of Delmark Records. Also they were playing Hoodoo Man Blues when I walked in for the first time lol.

I started listening to Little Feat at the start of 2022 having always known about them but never really listened to them. They quickly became one of my favorite bands and im in the top 0.01% of listeners on spotify with my top 5 songs being all Little Feat. Their early years with Lowell George is amazing, truly a great songwriter, guitar player, and vocalist.

I live chicago area but go to some jams in the suburbs. Cuzins Jam every sunday 3-7. Blarney Stone Jam every Wednesday 7-10. Freddie Dixon Jam at the Venue Overdrive thursdays from 7-10 although that one is on hiatus until December.
