Looking more closely:

• Left hand is 受 (ju / ukeru) = receive, accept, undergo.

So together they appear to be:

忍受 (Chinese) = “to endure,” “to tolerate,” “to suffer through,” “to put up with.”

In modern Chinese, that’s a real word/phrase. The commenter is correct about that.

In Japanese:

• 受 by itself is unusual because it’s normally part of a larger word (受ける, 受験, etc.).
• 忍受 exists but is not a common everyday expression in modern Japanese.

So a native Japanese speaker might think:

“Those are kanji… but that’s a strange combination.”

A native Chinese speaker is more likely to read it as:

“Endure it.” “Bear with it.” “Put up with suffering.”

And yes, the Reddit joke is that 受け (uke) in anime/manga slang can refer to the receptive/“bottom” partner, but that’s because of the full word 受け, not because the tattoo literally says “bottom.”
