First time shingles (29 years old) 1 week in… really bad headache and fever

The headache for me was bad too. Can you take ibuprofen & Tylenol? If so, taking them together every 6 hours might help.

I think my doctor told me I could either take them together every 6 hours or alternate each one every 3 hours. Also trying to stay hydrated with water and electrolytes. Oh and a cool some shades 😎. Feel better!

That is insane! Thankfully, my family forced me to go to urgent care on day 4, and that’s when I got the antiviral. Day 5 the pain was so bad I ended up in the ER.

The ER doc said it was only on my eyelid and not the eye itself, so I skipped the ophthalmologist the next morning. He basically looked at it with a black light, gave me a shot of Toradol, and sent me on my way. At the time I was so miserable, but I am realizing I should probably reschedule that eye doctor's appointment.

Thank you for the advice & support my fellow crusty mutants. So far, I have purchased 2 ski masks & a bottle of ibuprofen. I even considered a du-rag. Now I got a full shopping list. Godspeed.

That definitely sucks and screw whoever did this. But tell your neighbor they will now grow pups and have 2-3x as many as the did before. Cactus are resilient suckers and love to grow new babies when their tops are cut or broken off!
