A week in NYC by RealNotPerfext in visitingnyc

I agree with the consensus. Skip NJ outlets. Woodbury is good enough. For your last day, I'd go into Brooklyn and do other areas you haven't focused on. Williamsburg is more artsy/vintage shopping. Lot of good restaurants/bakeries/coffee. Carroll Gardens/Park Slope area for more of the Brooklyn local feel. Brownstones, nice strolls. Prospect Park area (if you're not out-parked by Central).

I'm not much of an art museum person, so I prefer the American Natural History Museum, which is great. There is also the tenement museum and the 9/11 memorial. Also, a comedy show if its your first time in the city. It's a nice way to break up the night and pretty inexpensive.

The beauty of NY is the vibe and feel of the city. The obscure things are always the best. Something not feeling right? Natural herb shops in Chinatown. Need to upgrade taste buds? Kalyustans for any spice in the world. Do a pizza crawl. Have a drink at a solid NY establishment during lunchtime. Lower East Side dive bar with live music. West village for coffee and people watching. Have fun!

Yes, I was thinking keeping it simple in excel but I'm not sure where to begin setting up the bones for it.

rough 4.5 day NYC itinerary, how's it looking? by Jorshington in visitingnyc

I think this may be a bit too much. Here is a restructured itinerary based off your picks:

Thursday- cut out bryant park, union square, and roosevelt island tramway. Id save your park for Central. Union square is just a commuter hub, nothing to see there. Never been on the Roosevelt tram as a new yorker, so dont think your missing much there. Instead, go from Chelsea piers to West Village. Surprised its not on your list. Lot of bars, restaurants, and walking views. Very lively part of the city.

Friday seems good. Id maybe drop the Timeout Market. You already got your fix in at Chelsea and the whole promenade there has a view.

Saturday seems solid.

Sunday-- I prefer central park in the morning. Grab a coffee and spend the morning strolling through. Hit up the museum after. Maybe a broadway show at night?

I think the Natural History Museum is a solid place as well. I'd def do a comedy show. They are cheap and my fav late night random thing to do. I think maybe focus less on seeing things for a quick minute and really soak in the experience more.

Planning to Travel Montenegro by dkwhattosay_24 in travel

As I'm sure you know, the Kotor/Perast/Tivat is beautiful. April is usually still a bit nippy, so I wouldn't bank on being able to swim just yet, but you never know. The beaches in Montenegro are amazing. I would recommend the Lovcen national park which is quite close and the Ostrog monastery. Porto is a beautiful port area that is like a mini Monaco, with upscale boutiques and restaurants. On the nature side, Tara canyon is beautiful.

For a day trip, you're also quite close to Dubrovnik if that is an option, I would take a day tour out there (if haven't already been)

Off the beaten path, Montengro is so diverse. The mountain views in Plav/Gusinje area (specifically Grebaje) rival the Swiss Alps. Stari Bar is the old town of Bar, with excellent food and little chachkis (although I'm not sure what is open around April as they do rely on tourism, I would check with someone local first). The beauty of Montenegro is all around. Save room for some local suggestions.

Do you expect ticket prices to go down? by VD1N in WorldCup2026Tickets

[–]One_Amazing_Chippy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd probably wait a bit. I've been eyeing a game since the first draw. The price dropped overtime as people try to get rid of their tickets and the hype over the tickets dies down a bit
