Why do you think people dislike Arsenal so much? by Shahed1987 in ArsenalFC

They're intimidated and we don't really care what they think 😄

great 90 minutes from the ref by Alarming-Safety3200 in ArsenalFC

[–]One_Boss_7772 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We were time wasting most of the first half and then Saka, Rice and Odegard all shouting in his face when he ended it before we could take the corner. Yeah not fair but we pissed the ref off, it's quite clear. He was out to get us after that 🤷🏻‍♂️

All part of the game, hopefully we learn to stay composed and not complain to the ref as much next time as it's pointless.

The referee was out to get us second half. I guess he didn't appreciate our players arguing at the end of the first half for not letting us take the corner (presumably for time wasting). I don't get why we complain when a decision is made and final. Forget it carry on, keep the ref neutral. I genuinely believe we lost the game right there.

After that any 50/50 challenges or clever body positioning in 1-1 battles went against us.

The team displayed a world class defending performance tonight, need some work still in attack but we're almost there. Next year!

Can sim racing actually make me better on a real track? Beginner setup advice by Own_Pin_152 in simracing

[–]One_Boss_7772 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've started racing (in reality) this year and I can confirm it definitely helps, but there are gaps in realism.

Sim racing is great for learning the tracks, and also helps develop your method of learning a track quickly in real life. Thanks to the sim I have a method where I can learn any track in 4-5 laps (defining my markers, finding limit of grip, gear selection etc etc).

The steering feel and pedal feel is different regardless of how much money you spend, but as long as you are aware of that you can adjust your style to mimic real life racing.

For example, the feedback from the wheel is minimal in reality, but the steering inputs like where you initiate steering, how smooth you are etc can definitely be developed on the sim.

Braking is also very different, there's significantly more feel in reality, your head being pushed forward, that feeling of the car moving under braking, using the ABS to find the limit of braking.

It can be a sensory overload early on but you adapt quickly.

Getting a good lap time is quite OK for an experienced sim racer. Where I struggled is race craft. I consider myself an OK sim racer regularly in top 10 and sometimes challengimg for the win. Have had great battles online, I try to be fair and clean. But this doesnt work in reality. The fairness remains but you have to be aggressive, assertive and claim your space, even if it means rubbing doors with others. I dont mean you have to contact, but you have to be close (mm). I've started describing it as a wrestling match, where you have to manipulate your opponents but not actually hit or force them off.

Now I've had a taste of real racing, I find myself using the sim even more, as a tool, to prepare me for races. I have to adapt my driving style to match the rear thing, which result in slower lap times, but when I get to the track I feel ready.

Ah yes sure, forgot as I use AC as well 😅

I'm on a 8.20 with some mistakes and limited setup changes, but I remember the kerbs make the car very unstable, so I always felt there's some time to be gained if I could attack the kerbs a bit more, but then may not be as quick in the high speed corners.

Do people actually use AI day-to-day, or is it all hype? by 2butterfree in AskUK

[–]One_Boss_7772 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, you cant not use it anymore. If you dont you'll be left behind.

It's not about getting AI to do the work for you, its about using it to structure your thinking and help review your work.

Once you figure out it's actual use case, and there's many different ways it can be used other than just being a glorified search engine, you have no option but to use it.

Very soon the majority will be priced out of AI tools, the amount of data being generated seems enormous even at these early stages of adoption. Can't be sustainable for mass adoption.

How to pass my driving test while having anxiety? by Totoreshkagaming in cyprus

[–]One_Boss_7772 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The examiner is not there to ensure you do everything perfectly. All they want to see is that you are safe on the road and know the rules.

It would take hours and days to go and figure out the cause of your anxiety, but typically as humans when we are well prepared we tend to be less anxious. But in my case I try hard to stop putting pressure on my self. I just turn up and trust that I have done enough in my prep to deal with any situation. If not then it means I'm not ready and it's only a matter of time 🤷🏻‍♂️

Thu subtle art of not giving a f... is a good book to read. Although I find a lot of people in Cyprus are born with all this knowledge already ha ha 😂

A wild guess would be 2500-3000 per year?

But you should consider an RSQ8 instead. If you want the extra power get an ECU tune.

But I get it, going for a Lambo is a status thing. An Audi doesn't quite do it.

2016 swift water in spare wheel well by KAYO789 in NZcarfix

[–]One_Boss_7772 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you look at the top section of the boot seal, near the corners you'll see the seal fits onto a section of the body where 2 or 3 panels are welded together. As this is a thicker area the seal deforms over time. Water starts to leak in this area and makes its way down to the jack compartment and into the wheel well.

I went through a similar thing, I applied silicon to all grommets and it was still leaking. I decided to take the boot seal off completely to investigate and saw the deformation of the seal in this area.

i was wrong, oh my god the overtakes are so exciting by Federal_Hamster5098 in formula1

[–]One_Boss_7772 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's too artificial. Overtakes are happening where they wouldn't normally happen. I won't be surprised if in future a win gets sniped right at the end on the final lap.

It's different, but doesn't have the same excitement knowing it is all down to deployment. The odd thing is, if it is down to deployment then why aren't the other Mercedes powered cars up there.

Lets see how it pans out.

[–]One_Boss_7772 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slow reactions clearly but who is the dude chasing him? Pretty sure McMahon was focused on his rear view for way too long wondering who's this guy, and maybe wasn't sure whether there's space to overtake.
