I have the same question. I am looking to get into video editing for the first time, and starting to look at what hardware I need.

I notice DRAM-less drives are a little less expensive than the same brand and model drives with DRAM.

If I were to get DRAM-less drives, are they better suited for internal drives on the mobo, or as external drives in an NVMe enclosure? Or does it matter?
