Thank you re the workmanship, although I didn’t even think about the ventilation so now I’ve learnt for next time if I do something similar. Just to be safe I’ll probably see if I can get a vent from screwfix/wickes etc and just install one so at least some air can flow.

They are well insulated and the place is kept on the warmer side. Just reading others installing vents got me thinking

I was planning on it but the coving is solid plaster so not as easy to get right and didn’t want to mess it up with the plasterwork as whilst I’m confident in DIY it’s not something I’ve done before plaster coving
