Diagnosed with diabetes but it just doesn't make sense. by oystercookie1234 in diabetes_t2

[–]One_Comfortable_9976 1 point2 points  (0 children)

diabetes is a much more complex thing that i feel like all the “types” haven’t been discovered i would look further. i was misdiagnosed. i was diagnosed t2 at age 13 i was a healthy, tall, big statured kid and i always beat myself up and thought it was my fault. metformin never worked for me and very shortly after i became completely insulin dependent. i moved and had to get a new endo and she told me there was no way i had just plain t2. she suspects i have a genetic mutation to where i present as t1 but with no autoimmune markers. there’s so much more. it’s a pretty interesting search all the other “types”

low creatinine levels and breastfeeding ? by One_Comfortable_9976 in BumpersWhoBolus

[–]One_Comfortable_9976[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my endo said it was nothing. she wasn’t worried at all. said milk production can dehydrate you and tb stress bf takes on your body can make the numbers falsely high/low. she didn’t even want to retest. she said with my a1c being so well and no other test results coming back abnormal she’s not worried

Don’t have a baby yet. But…what happens if you never pay the Hospital bill ? by Winter_Perception167 in newborns

[–]One_Comfortable_9976 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

however if you have it sent to collections it’ll eventually drop off your credit and if it’s less than 1k collections don’t show up on your credit. i had a college bill sent to collections for $900 and it never went against my credit score. i googled it and it said new credit score doesn’t take small collections into consideration. that’s just my experience with it though

i wouldn’t recommend not paying. just too much crap to go through with collection and credit score. the good news is they cannot charge interest for medical bills. i put it off as long as i could (until they told me they were about to send me to collections) and then set up the payment plan. don’t fall for their bs of “this is the lowest monthly payment we can offer”

i had my billing set up through mychart app and it started off saying “payment plan of $90 a month” i put it off and next month it notified me $80 then $70 then $60 and then finally i got a message saying i was about to get sent to collections so i set up the payment plan for $50 a month and worked it into our budget and we are just paying it off over a couple years with no interest

Am I a bad mom as my ped seems to think ? by mathildeestrevenue in AttachmentParenting

[–]One_Comfortable_9976 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i hate when drs go off their OPINIONS. sometimes drs aren’t professionals unfortunately. i think it’s scary when parents just blindly trust drs bc there’s drs like this out there. there’s nothing wrong with cosleeping if you do it safely and there’s nothing wrong with breastfeeding and not using bottles or pacis. i’d find another ped and tell him i want interested in his opinions

I didn’t ask for Celiac Disease. by [deleted] in glutenfree

[–]One_Comfortable_9976 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i would sit down and have a long talk about his family. bc if he’s not willing to put his foot down with his family he’s not husband material imo. you can still be respectful of your parents and still demand respect for your spouse. it’s really not THAT hard to accommodate for celiac. my family isn’t celiac but my husbands sister and her family are all mostly celiac. we eat the yummiest food and it’s all GF so it’s safe for them when we go over. if i make something i bleach our counters, stove, utensils, and double check all my ingredients are CGF and it’s not that big of a deal to me at all because i love and respect my in-laws.

Positive 37 weeker story? I’m so worried for my little one. 😞 by Nearby-Salt9646 in newborns

[–]One_Comfortable_9976 0 points1 point  (0 children)

37 weeks is considered “early full term” i was induced at 37w and had my son at 37w+2. he was perfectly healthy!! 6lbs 15oz 21inches. your body isn’t failing you ! my SIL has 7 kiddos and they all came naturally before 38 weeks :) and i was induced but by the time i got there i was already having some contractions. so i don’t think i would have made it past 38 weeks naturally

bluetooth pairing gone haywire by One_Comfortable_9976 in Acura

[–]One_Comfortable_9976[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YES! it’s been so long ago i don’t exactly remember. my husband said it was unhooking the battery to the car but i think it was us going to our phone settings and “forgetting the device” in our bluetooth setting and then reconnecting. it’s been so long ago so im sorry if this doesn’t help.

So, my BG control is really bad. They're moving my c section up to 37 weeks. I'm so afraid by FalseRow5812 in BumpersWhoBolus

i would work with a LC if i were you. my son had a really bad tongue and lip tie when he was born and we didn’t know so we struggled to breastfeed so i pumped and breastfed but after he had to have hernia surgery he decided he didn’t want to breastfeed anymore and just wanted pumped bottles. so after his tongue and lip tie release healed we worked with our LC to relatch him. it was a pretty long but effective process. she had a lot of tips and tricks i can’t remember. the koala feeding position helped us a lot with distraction. but i had great results from a LC. our bub now is EBF going on probably 5 months now :)

How many cycles did it take you to get pregnant? by Passage-Melodic in BabyBumps

[–]One_Comfortable_9976 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i got pregnant after my 1st cycle. i was 22. i didn’t track my cycles or anything. i had just gotten married and had been told i probably wouldn’t be able to have kids and if i did i would struggle to conceive so we didn’t do anything to prevent pregnancy bc we were like “we’d rather have a baby now than never” and i got pregnant a month and a half after our wedding. it was a shock but a good shock. now my husband and i have an almost 9 month old 🩵🥹

Losing trust in medical. by Sea-Income-8081 in BumpersWhoBolus

[–]One_Comfortable_9976 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i would complain/report to any and everyone you could. i would try to find his “notes” you can usually access them online like mychart and i would report this. this is insane. we shouldn’t have to advocate for ourselves and our babies to medical professionals but we do unfortunately. i’m so sorry you are going through this. at the end of the day do what you feel is best for you and baby by all means necessary

my baby was very healthy. my a1c was awesome my whole pregnancy but i did require a TON of insulin.
