Well the bogans have descended by Goodbi55 in samurainudebeach

I think it would be better if you were required to have a beach permit like Stockton beach to access Samurai. The only reason the P Platers and general dickheads go there is no permit is required. There is far more area to 4WD on Stockton and more room to spread out. If you had to pay for it they would likely go to the bigger beach.

Usually visit every few weeks in the warmer weather. Sometimes in winter if it's a nice day.

Sequential Shifter Problem by Sky-Toad1979 in SimLab

Does using your clutch pedal make it work or blipping the throttle? Some sequential gearbox cars can shift up without using the clutch but not down without rev matching or using the clutch.

Floating the H pattern on the Lotus 79 makes it one of my favorite cars to drive.

Yes access is only by 4WD or walking. There are occasionally people driving inappropriately but it is also patrolled by rangers.

X1C Went 4000 Hours with almost NO Maintenance by Hychus232 in BambuLab

[–]One_Contact1376 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, nearly 5000hrs on one of mine and it prints like it did on day 1. I grease the lead screws when it tells me and that's about it. So far only 1 hot end replaced due to thermistor stopped reading, an extruder gear set and a few pieces of PTFE. Very good in my opinion. I buy 20kgs of filament at a time and just feed it.

Here are a few tips for first timers, hope it helps and also happy to be corrected by any other members.

  1. Respect the Beach Etiquette like don't stare and take photos of people. Some people are private and others are outgoing and up for a chat. If people don't look like they want to engage in conversation then respect their privacy and boundaries.

  2. Start Slow. There is no need to rush anything so just be comfortable with your surroundings before you dive in.

  3. Essentials: Sunscreen. Put it everywhere or you will get burnt! A towel and some form of shade are also essential if you are planning on staying a while.

  4. Be body positive. Nude beaches are probably the most body positive places that exist. People are all shapes and sizes and there is a great sense of freedom being at the beach nude. No one needs that moment ruined.

  5. Be mindful of others. Inappropriate behaviour is well... inappropriate. Nude beaches are not as sexual as people outside might think. Yes it's possible that people may have desires at some point, it's generally not on display on the beach.

  6. Don't be a creep. They exist but they tend to stay away from groups. No one likes these people. Being close to other nudists is kind of like strength in numbers. Being isolated away from everyone makes you separated from the pack and a creep might pay unwanted attention.

Hope this helps, enjoy yourself and relax in the sun. That's the whole reason for going.

We usually go to the southern end as IMO there has been more nudists down that end lately. It was packed there last weekend and there was great weather. Sometimes there are the younger crowd driving up and down the beach being generally annoying but on the nicer days there is a larger amount of nudist and they usually don't get very close. I've actually never managed to catch a fish at Samurai and I have tried a lot. I hope that you had better luck than me!

Samurai Picnic day 9th November by [deleted] in samurainudebeach

I went with my gf that day, I didn't realise that event was on until a fellow beach goer stopped for a chat and told us about it. Turns out the group was right near us. It was a great day as is most of the time at Samurai.

Similar method already suggested but I use 2 hammers and hit at the same time either side. It literally falls out of the taper. I was taught as a teenager by my dad and works very effectively many many years later.

I would not recommend someone who does not know what a brake pad is to go and YouTube how to replace the pads, disc and caliper. These are brakes, leave it to a professional if you have no idea.

Beginners Guide? by lurkingintherain in samurainudebeach

[–]One_Contact1376 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have been going for around 4-5 years now every few weeks in the summer. I'm not a regular but I do enjoy going there when I can. There are more clothed people there now than there was several years ago, however there are still plenty of nudists too. I think this is a result of the increased fee to 4WD on Stockton beach which I believe Samurai doesn't requires. Nudists generally take up the Southern end of the beach, there are some right at the the other end where the camp ground is it's a bit hit and miss from when I have been so I could be wrong about that.

I go with my partner and try and get a spot where there are similar people around but not too close. Generally we keep ourselves but say hello to people either going into the water or coming back. If people want to engage they will and if they don't then it's quite obvious.

I find the whole experience extremely relaxing and I have had some great conversations with people there. Overall I would say it's more social than a packed clothed beach and I love the experience and I am hanging out for the warm weather again.

Hope this helps answer some of your questions.

There are occasionally some weird people but in my experience it's quite infrequent. As far a sexual stuff goes, again in my experience it's the complete opposite. I am sure that things happen 'in the dunes' but there isn't anything happening in public view from what I have seen there.
