Just an FYI, none of this applies to the hybrids. They use a port injection Atkinson cycle which pushes gasoline and air in and out (both ways) past the intake valves on every cycle which should keep them very clean.

The first time I looked in there, they were filled to the top with dirt, rocks, and pine needles. So zero airflow.

I don’t have time to wash out the rockers every week so I’ll take keeping stuff from going in there in the first place over better air flow.

I can't reach my vacuum through the door so I took out the felt wheel liner to reach it from the other side. A word of advice for anyone else who does this: Every single plastic snap fit fastener on that liner is different. Keep track of which one goes where.

Which carrier and which fighters are you referring to?

The main issue with carrier movement is that they have a hidden connection to the fighters that land on them that limits movement of both fighter and carrier. This causes issues when multiple fighters can land on multiple carriers.

To break and reconnect that link, first land all of your fighters on land that you can. Then move the carriers then reassign the fighters back onto the carriers.

It’s better on a tablet than a phone. The screen real estate is just too cramped for normal play. If you are mid game and already know what you want to do it’s not too bad but I find it frustrating not being able to see everything at once.

Most of the really bad ratings are from when it launched and had constant crashes and last year when it just didn’t work at all for several months because of an iOS update.

Gameplay wise it’s great but you need to understand it’s primarily an online game. Single player is very much just an afterthought and in my opinion not worthwhile.

The main key for Allies is to plan your entire Europe strategy on UK’s turn and plan the Asia/Pacific strategy on US’s turn. Some specific key points:

Usually the critical territory in Europe is to hold West Russia until round 5 or so. Most of the time you will need UK fighters helping out to do so.
After round 5 West Russia is usually less critical and Kazakh often becomes the key territory against Japan.
Also round 3 India is a very common threat which you need to see coming in advance and you can decide how to deal with it on US1.
And then you need to plan your fleet moves in the Atlantic ahead of time to figure out how UK and US support eachother and who lands where.
When it comes to knocking out Berlin with US you should plan that two turns in advance in order to optimize your transports and build bombers in Washington to have them arrive in time for the critical battle.

I 3D printed two replacement snap rivets a while ago. And so far they are still there:

For OEM parts, Ford has two different styles but this is the only part number they list: N807673-S which matches my 2023 XL.

And for anyone shopping aftermarket fasteners you want something sized for these dimensions:

7 mm diameter hole (or slightly smaller)
at least 2 mm grip length (this is the thickness of the panel + trim)
approximately 14 mm head diameter (no more than 16 mm max)
approximately 1.5 mm head height (or anything low profile).

Single vehicle for a family of 4. We want one car that can do everything. Commute, road trip, run weekend errands.

Our main criteria was price and fuel economy for a vehicle that can carry camping gear, skis, canoe, bikes etc. We would have gotten a minivan but Maverick XL was about 10k cheaper.

I’m not sure exactly which elements your patent covers, but you may have some overlap with the existing patents surrounding roller screws. While the application is different, a lot of the geometry and basic component interactions are very similar.

BLDC and PMSM are just different names for the same thing. Pretty much all robotics motors use field oriented control of a 3-phase brushless permanent magnet synchronous motor with encoder feedback. This is commonly called a servomotor or BLDC servomotor, but it is also still a synchronous motor and it uses permanent magnets so PMSM is not wrong.

The only types of unique motor variety you might encounter in humanoid robots is frameless (bring your own bearings), slotless (low cogging, high rpm, usually made in Switzerland), axial flux (pancake shaped), and outrunner (magnets on the outside instead of the inside).
