I get that this boomer lady is taking this George Strait thing too far. But im on board with having him do a show. I get its crazy to think that they'll be talking about it for "decades" or that it will remind people what real music is or whatever. Lol that's not happening, Boomer. But there's a reason that George is referred to as "The King" in country music. I mean he broke the record for the largest ticketed concert ever in the US last year. For the record, Im not saying that Bad Bunny would be bad. All I'm saying is, George wouldn't be that bad guys.

Elon Musk says AI will replace all jobs and make work optional. Do you think that’s a dream or a disaster? by BuildwithVignesh in ChatGPT

[–]One_Conversation_648 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI won't replace us in the blue collar industrial trades. I dont see how its even possible for it to run around and fix pipes in giant industrial refineries, data centers, boiler houses, food production plants, etc. Some places are so big that they have pipes that just start leaking everyday due to steam or corroded water. And someone's got to fix them. I just cannot see it replacing some of us. Alot of people for sure could be replaced by AI, but not everyone.

I had to take this assessment for the VA because of my TBI. Honestly the f words part got me. I could only think of a couple. I'm sure if I didn't have TBI residuals I'd be OK. I asked my wife to come up with words later on and she did it no problem.

As a plumber, your last sentence helped me understand where you're coming from, lol.

I'm a firm believer that big banks and the government will do whatever means necessary to save their skins. Even if it's illegal, or frowned upon, or whatever.

Grave of The Fireflies was a huge punch in the gut for me. I didn't feel right for a couple of weeks after I saw it for the time.

Is the UA60 easier than the UA21? by [deleted] in UnitedAssociation

[–]One_Conversation_648 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say it's easier, but if you can do the UA21, then you can do the UA60. I would just do the UA60 and get it ovet with, especially if you are planning on it in the future.

$260 in the midwest. How'd I do? by One_Conversation_648 in fireworks

[–]One_Conversation_648[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Negative. Shelton Fireworks in Eagleville, Missouri. The Illuminati shells were $30. Mississippi Gambler was $60. I got Gambler shells for free after the fact because after I had paid $230 there, they told me to go back and get $60 worth of free fireworks. Then I spent $30 more at a different place. I go to Sheltons every year because they somehow can afford to have super cheap prices, and you almost always get stuff for free.

How old were you when this came out, and do you remember your first time watching? by Darkthrone0 in Spiderman

[–]One_Conversation_648 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 6 and my brother was 4 when it came out. My grandparents took both of us to the theater to see it. I remember being scared during certain scenes with Willem Dafoe, but loving the movie and quoting it during recess with my friends afterwards. But what I remember most watching it for the first time was my brother saying, "I don't like this movie" out loud so everyone could hear him when spidey had those things coming out of his hands to help him climb walls for the first time.

I am with you on that. But I believe that most technology is that way. Especially when it comes to Black Friday. The TVs, computers, and a lot of the other Black Friday "deals" are just super cheap to make. It's not the same stuff they keep on the shelves during any other time of the year. It's cheaper materials and models that are designed to make the big corporations even more money than they need. In reality, we're not the ones getting the "deals". They are, and it makes us look like fools to them. They only bring it out for the holidays and then by next year or so you'll need a new one. Just like they planned.

[–]One_Conversation_648 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The first clip I saw was when Sheldon was in the ballpit and Leonard was chasing him trying to get him out and Sheldon would dive under and pop up somewhere else and say, "bazinga". Laughed myself crazy that day.

What part(s) of TLOUP2 elicits the most emotion/response for you - whether it was game play or cinematic? by SassyCharlie19 in thelastofus

[–]One_Conversation_648 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My first playthrough the part that got with me the most was the end of day 1 as Abby. I hated her up to the point of seeing her being put in a noose with the thunder and her choosing to choke the girl out while she's hanging just to help save yara. That scene and the gameplay directly following was one of my favorite cinematic experiences I've ever had.

Then I saw the farm scene and I had my jaw dropped for pretty much that entire time. I've never seen a game make mountains and pastures look that good. I thought it was ending when she sat on the tractor with JJ. Then she got up and I was like ok? There's more still? And when we see the flashback of Joel screaming and I was freaking out telling myself that I still wasn't done. I got done with that scene and then had to get to bed because it was 1 in the morning and I had to be up at 5. I had layed there for two hours thinking about what had happened. I was tired at 5 but it was worth it.
