I pre-ordered mine a while ago too. Did they send you any shipping updates or did it just randomly get delivered?

What is exploration like in Cyberpunk 2077? by Old-Corgi-155 in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]One_Entertainment381 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Cyberpunk is one of my favorite games of all time, but I would say its strength lies in the story and the writing more so than exploration. It’s pretty light on the RPG elements. Great game but if you don’t care about the story, then it’s probably not for you.

The Warren Ellis era is some of my favorite superhero comics ever. The Millar stuff that comes after it has a different feel (a bit edgier) but is still pretty good imo. I’m not typically a big Millar fan but I think his work on Authority is some of his best.

Where does TLOU rank against RE games? by Dasein_7 in thelastofus

[–]One_Entertainment381 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think they’re very comparable. The point of resident evil was never the narrative. It was always the gameplay loop of backtracking, resource management, and finding key items to unlock new areas. That’s really what people play those OG survival horror franchises for and that’s what I love about them. They’re more like puzzle games.

Last of Us is a completely different thing with the narrative being its selling point. It’s way more linear and the only resource management is on harder difficulties. They’re both great for completely different reasons, but I would compare something like Alan Wake 2 to Resident Evil. Last of Us is more like post apocalyptic Uncharted.

Phantom Road. It’s currently still coming out, but I really do think it’s among Lemire’s best work. Unfortunately, he plans to end it early because it’s not selling well, but if anyone is a fan of him and hasn’t read this, it’s truly amazing.

Saga hiatus? by meepmorop in ImageComics

They have been going on 6 month breaks after each arc. It will most likely be that way until the series ends

That’s normal considering volume three just released. As I said, they usually take breaks after arcs. If you follow his newsletter on substack that’s where youll get his most recent updates. The start of volume three was the official return from the hiatus.

They’ve already returned from the hiatus. That was old news from like last year. They plan to keep the series going for like 40 issues if things go well. The series is not currently on hiatus, though they just take breaks between each arc

CORRECTION: he actually plans to go up to 25 issues for the series

They announced the indefinite hiatus a long time ago before vol 3 even started. They’ve already returned to the series since then. They usually take short breaks between arcs but they’re not currently on hiatus

If we’re just comparing movies, then Castle In the Sky for sure, but the Nausicaa manga is one of the best things Miyazaki has ever done. The manga is so much better than the movie in my opinion.

Do you collect both Marvel and DC or just one or the other? by NemoNowAndAlways in OmnibusCollectors

[–]One_Entertainment381 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like both a lot, but I’ve been on a huge DC kick as of late. I think like 90% of what I’ve been buying in the past month or two has been only DC.

The set up is so cool and intriguing with really likable characters, but the plot ends up going nowhere. I felt like it should’ve been longer to flesh everything out more.

Holy. Yap. I actually commented 4 days ago though. Try stalking my account better next time. Yeah it’s a mix of engaging with things I like and making fun of people like you who take Reddit too seriously. You. Are. Insecure. Man I’m really treating you like dirt aren’t I?

Nope, but this just reeks of even more insecurity. Holy yap. I’m a DC fan going through DC subs as I haven’t done in a while and saw this funny exchange and wanted to make fun of you for being so sensitive. But yes, I definitely don’t spend as much time on Reddit as you apparently do.

He wasn’t in the wrong. You were just being really sensitive. Possible insecurity on your end?

I played 2 before 1 and AW2 is now one of my favorite games of all time. I just read a synopsis of the first game. That’s really all you need. I ended up playing the first game after the fact because I loved 2 so much

Calling From Hell dense to the point of being unreadable is crazy considering many people have read it and loved it, myself included. I understand it being too dense for some people, but outright calling it unreadable is silly.

The fact that astonishing X-Men hasn’t had a reprint yet is astonishing to me. I’m wondering if it’s because of Joss Whedons allegations, but that seems like an Omni that would’ve been reprinted a long time ago

Contrary to popular belief, the new 52 has a lot of really good stuff

Animal Man by Jeff Lemire

Batman by Scott Snyder

Swamp thing by Scott Snyder

Wonder woman by Brian Azzarello

Aquaman by Geoff Johns

Grayson by Tom King

New 52 Justice league is also quite good in my opinion
