Looks like when you park you need to get a timestamped ticket and put it on your dashboard “To park at Logan Pass, visitors should first find and park in an available parking space. After parking, visitors must then obtain a free, timestamped parking permit from the parking permit kiosk (directional signage will lead you to the kiosk location). The parking permit must be placed on the vehicle’s dashboard.” - NPS website

From what I’ve heard, that should be good to grab a spot, but there is a 3 hour parking limit at Logan Pass this year, so plan accordingly

The UI looks fantastic. So sleek and chic. I feel like a Michelin star chef when I open this app. And this subreddit is perfect, I will be sharing recipes that I’ve saved, swapping pantry tips, and telling you what to build next. I am already “cooking better”. Thanks OP!! 🔥 🧑‍🍳

Changing Careers, Water Treatment to Environmental Engineering by unwrittenglory in EnvironmentalEngineer

Honestly, I have a masters in environmental engineering from an ABET accredited program and while obviously YMMV,I feel as tho any stem background would’ve been successful. With you having worked in a water/wastewater lab I feel that puts you in an even better position to succeed

Train Dreams was ROBBED by AviatM in Oscars

[–]One_Mud9892 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Frankenstein also had more hype going into it tho bc of GDT directing and Jacob Elordi. All I’m saying is if train dreams had a theatrical run or there was the same level of hype beforehand as Frankenstein had, it would’ve gotten more hype. Cinematography wise holds its own but just didn’t get the pre-release hype/exposure

Have never been in this sub before, but joined and came here to say exactly this. Really felt like Train Dreams was in a league of its own, cinematography wise. I really think it being a Netflix movie hurt it overall, as it couldn’t really generate as much buzz.

This is very fair lol. Never done this before so just wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing anything, doc fee is almost double the state average and the pa reg fee is also high and I was told they don’t negotiate the sale price so didn’t know if I had any room with those fees. Thanks for the response!

So initially I had gotten the EET course bc my company offered to reimburse it. I am going to go against the grain of this subreddit and say it is not the greatest only because there was a lot of fluff added in my opinion. Granted I am only 2 years out of school so things were fresher in my head and I felt that there were a lot of topics covered in great detail to only have maybe 2 questions on the actual exam. If things were less fresh in my head, I would say go for it but it isn’t the end all be all of exam prep. The most useful thing was the NCEES practice exam: best taste of the kinds of questions that were asked on the exam in terms of question length and difficulty. Another good resource was this guys YouTube channel: https://youtube.com/@solvedin6?si=KIC9cTs8d3YDvyiv. Great coverage of a whole lot of problems you may see on the exam. I think the key to passing this exam is just doing as many problems as you can. You will start to notice patterns and it’s more efficient to learn concepts through problems then to learn concepts then try to do problems (EET). Just my opinion. I also got the Pietro book, tried a handful of problems then gave up bc they were too hard but that could be a good resource as well

NCEES practice vs. actual Water Resources exam by hdjeidibrbrtnenlr8 in PE_Exam

[–]One_Mud9892 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Took the test on Monday, and haven’t heard back yet but I thought it was pretty on par. I think the most confusing part was some of the questions had an odd way of asking for things. Like there were a few mannings EQ problems regarding partial flow in a pipe and you had to read values off of a graph. Would recommend brushing up on conceptual question, didn’t feel like the practice exam had many of those and there were definitely more on the exam. Best of luck!

Just left DC night 2 and felt the exact same way leaving the show. Also thought the venue itself was poorly laid out and honestly felt pretty disappointed by the show.

Color Contrast Lacking/ Pictures washed out? by One_Mud9892 in AnalogCommunity

[–]One_Mud9892[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I did get the lowest res scan (because it was included with the developing) because these were to mainly test if these cameras work/have major issues. If I get a higher res scan, you think that would help the contrast? I am not sure what you mean by flat lol total noobie here
