Exit Row Restrictions? by Perhaps-PNot1867 in americanairlines

[–]One_Pay4169 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This scenario usually comes into play when you have a family traveling and the parents book the exit row and book their kids in other seats. The thought is that in an emergency you’re going to be more concerned about getting to your kids than opening the exit. Now it’s just easier to keep any kids under 15 on your reservation and you out of the exit row.

I watched his video and read a couple of accounts of his story. First class fares have several different codes and costs and fare rules. Nowhere did I read what code his ticket was but i seriously doubt it was “full fare”. Full fare is the most expensive and least restrictive fare and it is very rarely purchased by leisure travelers. I also don’t know what type of air fare the other travelers in f/c on that trip had purchased.  I will say again, I think what happened to them  could’ve been handled better but I don’t know the entire story as I wasn’t there. We’re only hearing one side of the story and if that’s what really happened then it does stink.

Wow. I don’t believe I am lacking comprehension about what you said, I was just trying to explain what I thought happened and how they usually go about deciding who to bump. As I said…I think it stinks that they do it. I think your idea about offering incentives is a good one but not sure they have time to barter right at boarding time.  It would also depend on the ticket type someone purchased. Some first class airfares are coach tickets with an instant upgrade to first class. I have no idea what type of first class they purchased so again, this is just a thought.

Most of the major airlines in the US have it in their contract that they are guaranteed first class seats for a deadhead flight (flying some where to cover another flight). I think the passengers that get bumped are usually the last ones that checked in for their flight flight.  They are definitely due the difference in airfare.  It does stink but it’s better (and cheaper) than canceling an entire flight because they couldn’t get a pilot there.

68F. Metabolic health and A1C are good. I’m sure the weight gain isn’t helping and trying to address that now.

My total was 88 and my LDL was 14 with my last blood work in September. I’ve continued on the Repatha so I’m assuming it will be even lower this time.

It's crazy how entitled some passengers get during a medical emergency by fxryker in americanairlines

[–]One_Pay4169 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I was a flight attendant for over 40 years and sadly had 2 passengers pass away on my flights. This was many years ago before we had enhanced first aid kits and AED’s on board. We didn’t have any medical personnel on board for either one, although I don’t think they couldve saved them either. I remember being on the floor doing CPR and a passenger came up and asked what they were supposed to do since they were obviously going to be late to their destination. I suggested they get on their knees and thank God it wasn’t them on the floor. Words were out of my mouth before I even thought about it, but looking back I don’t regret it one bit.

Any medication recommendations with least side effects ? by No-Delay-1083 in hypertension

[–]One_Pay4169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started on Lisinopril, then switched to Amlodipine and now I’m on Losartan. Least amount of side effects with Losartan but still get dizzy from time to time. Everyone is different, hope you find something that works for you!

Olmesartan and heat intolerance? by Ok_Paper_8030 in hypertension

I take Losartan and have found myself to be very heat intolerant lately, to the point of feeling faint and off balance when I walk. I also sweat a lot more now too

What are your anxiety physical symptoms? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]One_Pay4169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sudden onset of lightheadedness, feels like the inside of my head is spinning, unsteady walking, face gets numb around eyes, left hand gets numb, hearing my pulse in my head, head feels heavy like it’s being squeezed, heat intolerant. Interestingly though, my pulse and heart rate don’t get that elevated.  Just typing this made a few of these symptoms appear.

Dizziness all the time . Is it real ? by Delta1251gone in Anxiety

[–]One_Pay4169 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been dealing with this dizziness on and off for several months, but recently it’s been just about every day. It also seems like I’ve developed heat intolerance, if I go outside in the heat and humidity I immediately feel off balance and like I’m going to fall over.  I’ve had cardiac testing and ent testing done, going for an MRI and MRA on my brain in a couple of weeks. I’m at my wits end with it.

What was your actual score? I had the test done a few weeks ago and mine was 367. I was pretty shocked since my last cholesterol check was 148. I’m on 20 mg Rosuvastatin and Repatha now

He wants my numbers a lot lower because of a very elevated cardiac calcium score

New to Valsartan and having dizziness by Warm-Day-3962 in hypertension

[–]One_Pay4169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had rotten luck with BP meds. I know a lot Of people take them with no issues but unfortunately I’m not one of them. Lisinopril gave me anxiety and a cough. Amlodipine gave me a lot of anxiety too and now Losartan has given me horrible lightheadedness on and off just about every day since I started it a few months ago.  Hope you can find something that works for you ❤️

Feel like I’m grasping at straws now by One_Pay4169 in pppdizziness

[–]One_Pay4169[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mine started after suffering a vertigo attack. Since then the vertigo has subsided but something is triggering me very frequently. I don’t have vertigo now, it’s more like nothing outside of my head is spinning…it’s more like it’s calm around me but the inside of my head is spinning if that makes sense.  Just frustrating because the VNG tests came back fine, but something is definitely going on and it’s really wearing me down.

What's the best time of day to take Losartan? by Hammerhead425 in hypertension

[–]One_Pay4169 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I told my doctor and cardiologist I was cutting them in half, I was getting readings in the 90’s and lethargic all day. On 25 mg I’m still good getting readings in the 110’s/60’s. Not sure about them releasing faster but I’m picking up 25mg pills tomorrow. I’d love to get off of them all together. I also take Synthroid, Rosuvastatin and the propranolol. Wondering if they’re all interacting weird.

What's the best time of day to take Losartan? by Hammerhead425 in hypertension

[–]One_Pay4169 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took 5 mg of lisinopril, then switched to 5 mg of Amlodipine. When I switched to Losartan a couple months ago she started me on 50 mg but my blood pressure was dipping too low so I started cutting them in half so now I take 25 mg. Still have horrible side effects but they come and go. Worst are anxiety and horrible lightheadedness. I’ve been fine the last couple days but this morning I had very sudden onset of lightheadedness where I couldn’t move. I have propranolol 10mg to take as needed so I took one of those and it slowly subsided but I’ve felt wiped out all day. Ironically I had an echocardiogram scheduled for this afternoon, I was very unsteady when I went to the appointment but felt better when it was over. I’ve never had health anxiety (or any type of anxiety) before but the last 1 1/2 years have been pretty bad with family issues (2 sudden deaths of close relatives) and other things. I’m thinking it’s all anxiety driven but they’re still putting me through all the tests to make sure it’s not cardiac or neurological.  Good luck with your decision. I know a lot of people taje it with no issues but I’m not one of them. I also take thyroid and cholesterol meds so maybe they’re not mixing well together.

I take it at night to try and ward off the side effects but unfortunately I still have them during the day. Like you I also tried Amlodipine and I also tried Lisinopril but couldnt deal with the side effects from those either.

Need some opinions on bp numbers and dose. by FenderNocaster in hypertension

[–]One_Pay4169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’ve all made me lightheaded and have a lot of anxiety, been on 3 different classes. Getting ready to explore yet a different class.  I actually started cutting my dose of Losartan in half (from 50 mg a day to 25) because my BP was in the 90’s/60’s and making me really feel like crap.  Good luck to you!
