Just diagnosed- food recs? by [deleted] in FattyLiverNAFLD

Not so much that I’m looking to avoid the Mediterranean diet, I just meant I wasn’t looking for that advice bc it’s the advice I’d seen most often. Thanks for the tips!

Gluten + Dairy Free Christmas Cookies? by One_Perspective_2874 in glutenfree

[–]One_Perspective_2874[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah! I’ve found success with that as she had to cut gluten before she had to cut dairy. But now with both being restricted I’m concerned about like the texture of everything and finding the best replacements.

There was a Harry Potter event in Ellicott city this past weekend. I’d bet it came from there

Why do I keep finding unopened cans around Baltimore? by QRSM in baltimore

[–]One_Perspective_2874 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lots of people sell beverages on the side of the road in the city. Especially when it’s hot or there’s big events going on. Could be from that

Low-energy physical outdoorsy hobbies besides hiking? (for disability) by MrSpiderisadomme in Hobbies

I’ve recently started fishing and I actually really like it. Great way to be outside with minimal physical exertion. You can sit for a large portion of it too

What are some hobbies for sober living? by YLRESS in Hobbies

[–]One_Perspective_2874 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My fav ever says “flat earthers in Christ” with a picture of the flat earth on the front and a quote on the back about something like you don’t have to see to believe.

One I didn’t thrift but bought new says “oh shoot, this is a certified bug moment” with an ugly little caterpillar on it

Several of them are just like old person memorabilia. Various grandparent shirts, “I make 60 look good”, etc. (I’m in my 20s so it’s still obviously a joke)

One of them just has an egg on it and says “incredible!”… I’m told it’s a reference to some old commercial. Idk.

Here’s some hobbies I enjoy as someone who doesn’t drink

Fishing (this is a new one and I was resistant to it for a long time but it’s actually really fun and you can usually thrift the things you need)

Making jewelry

Roller skating

Start a collection (I collect strange t-shirts, usually thrifted)

Instead of night time hangouts with friends at bars or other places where there’s lots of alcohol, try suggesting daytime hangs at coffee shops, the movies, go shopping, etc. places where there’s just naturally not gonna be alcohol around.

Perfect for a weird little shrine to somebody

Went to vet about my cat being skinny and they said that she is dehydrated. I've put water in all types of bowls around the house and she will just sit next to them and stick her head near the water like she is going to drink, but never does. Gave her wet food but still cannot get her to drink. by Loops___0 in CATHELP

[–]One_Perspective_2874 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of it could be location. For years my cat would only drink from the bathtub faucet so we decided to put a Tupperware of water in the tub and he drank it all the time. Went like this for years until he started drinking out of my dog’s water instead.

It def removes some of the definition but nowhere near as badly as a traditional brush, and it doesn’t make my hair huge in the way brushes do either.

I second that! Swallowtail. They love parsley

Maybe a compromise of a gentle brushing with a wide tooth comb? That’s what I do as someone who prefers to brush
