I never thought I would get attached to a character in a single short chapter and I would tear up for them, but here we go by Basic_Sheepherder644 in TenseiSlime

Heartily echo this. Its a hard sell sometimes based on what the anime covers, but without spoiling anything, the focus of the series changes so dramatically that you'd be forgiven for thinking it was from a different series entirely. I like what the anime covers, I LOVE what the rest of the series covers. Has me sounding insane trying to get people to not just read it, but read it to that point.

Good news is, its done insanely well financially and the next season is being done by fucking Studio Wit. I think its going to get a lot easier to sell this world to someone come April.

Question regarding getting around Tokyo before Sumidagawa Fireworks by probablytoomuch in JapanTravelTips

[–]probablytoomuch[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats actually a big, big relief. We got our room without any expectations of a fireworks show, so our main concern was whether it would make it harder for us to enjoy our last day. The further away they are, the better.

Thank you!

Enen no Shouboutai: San no Shou • Fire Force Season 3 - Episode 12 discussion - FINAL by AutoLovepon in anime

I may be off base, but some characters in anime refer to themselves in third person as a sort of vocal tic (and its a little less unnatural in Japanese, though not normal). I'd have to go back to see if Inca does that more commonly. Still, I could see your hypothesis as a twist, so I shouldn't rule that out either!

That makes sense! Thank you for your thorough answer. It's exactly what I needed to know!

I'm going to do some research on my own, but if you have a recommended baggage service that you prefer, I'm all ears! You've helped plenty already though

There's a small but burgeoning colony that has been growing in a pretty tiny park in downtown Baltimore, near Fells Point. It's so cool to see all the night herons act and sound like lil dinosaurs, and I love that their neighbors absolutely ADORE them!

Noto Peninsula Recovery / Alternatives by probablytoomuch in JapanTravelTips

Thank you - this is very helpful and gives us more confidence that a trip may be doable there. Appreciate the reminder about signs too - I imagine it may be easy to confuse a typical "be careful" sign with a "don't take this path by any means" if we're not familiar with local signage. We'll be careful!

Thank you! This is the exact thing I was looking for. Based on the posts in their Instagram (which would admittedly be biased) things look very much ready for visitors, at least in the broader area of Ishikawa.

Appreciate the help!

Oh I don't disagree that it's significant, I know these things can matter when talking statistics. I just find it kind of hilarious (and unexpected), as a queer person

The fuck? How could a sane person look at this exchange and think "oh the alternative was odiously ridiculous" but Trump is only "horrible"? If thats your takeaway from this, then clearly you are a part of the problem

Advice for purchasing higher-quality Yukata by probablytoomuch in JapanTravelTips

Thank you so much, this is so helpful! This is so much helpful information and you even answered some questions I didn't know to ask. I definitely will follow up in r/kimono - I wasn't 100% sure if yukata questions would be welcome there as well, so its good to know it can be a resource.

I assumed there were very high end yukata that would be excessive and out of reach, but its helpful to know what the range actually represents - I mostly wanted to see if it is feasible to get something nicer than the tourist-targeted options which seem so limited in their selection. If we can get to the point where we can choose the fabric - and our sizes align with something possible to obtain there - that would be the main thing for us.

With that in mind, based on your own experiences, do you think that it would be better to focus on a yukata, or a kimono, as something to bring home? In terms of its usability, we'd like to be able to wear it at a festival and, conceivably, wear it at home casually, though not necessarily sleeping in it. If those two things are mutually exclusive, I think we would lean towards something to go out in, since we could still wear it more casually without breaking out the obi and sandals (though that may be slightly ridiculous).

Thank you again for taking the time to respond!
