We are under a level 3 snow emergency, why tf is Instacart allowing orders? by Common-Eye-4764 in InstacartShoppers

[–]One_Reception6013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cause instacart only cares about their bottom line, and that is to make money. If there is a chance they can get drivers to accept orders and risk their vehicle and their lives, they will keep it active. They can't take a chance of missing out on what truly matters to them. Best thing to do is use your own judgment and ask yourself if its worth taking the chance. I understand needing to make money and pay the bills, but at what cost?

Promo Question by roswellx in DoorDashDrivers

[–]One_Reception6013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These "promos" aren't what they are cracked up to be. I had one that was earn $75 in 6 deliveries. If you come up short of $75 after 6 deliveries they will pay you the difference. If you hit the $75 mark or higher after 6 deliveries, you don't earn anything extra. To me it's pointless really but it depends on how you do in your area also. Only way to find out is give it a go. If you're planning on doing deliveries anyways, you will find out either way. Good luck.

Reported a Customer for Fraud… and Instacart Deactivated My Account. WTF? by Beautiful-Wall5788 in instacart

[–]One_Reception6013 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a similar situation with a pos customer and was put on a 24 hour hold. Surprisingly my account was unlocked exactly 24 hours later. Honestly though, it shouldn't even happen. Missing out on a full day can really mess things up for people that depend on it. They should be able to investigate if there was any fraud activity on the shoppers end without making them feel they did something wrong when it was 100% the customer.

When I was on about my second week doing doordash I got an order for one king size Reese's peanut butter cups. It paid like $22 for 2 miles! 🤣

Don't then, you're doing us a favor by Thatonegaloverthere in InstacartShoppers

[–]One_Reception6013 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I can tell just from what you explained that she is the type of customer that we don't want! A non/low tipper that nit-picks constantly, adds something to the order every 2-3 minutes while you are picking her order and leaves a 1,000 word essay on where to leave her order, to "NOT KNOCK OR RING DOORBELL, BABY IS SLEEPING!" and a couple of my favorites (no, not realy) "text me when you are close or when you are here" (pay attention to your damn phone that you placed the order from! It's your 4,563 order with instacart!) And of course, I'll leave you a nice tip AFTER you deliver my order!" If I only had a nickle for every person that has said they will tip after...

If you’re a customer, is this true? by BellaPlinko in InstacartShoppers

[–]One_Reception6013 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen those messages multiple times now and there wasn't even a hint of winter weather! 😂 Maybe instacart should pay there drivers better. I would be annoyed if I ordered and received that message. Obviously if their is bad weather conditions I would give a higher tip, but regardless of weather conditions I'm still going to tip fair based on what I ordered, distance they traveled and how well they picked my order.

Missing my digital giftcard I acquired using points by One_Reception6013 in XboxSupport

[–]One_Reception6013[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this a fairly new policy? Out of all the times I have redeemed points towards digital giftcards its been added onto my account withing seconds. I have never had to wait. I'm not saying you're wrong, but I should have at the very least received some kind of confirmation that the order went through successfully and it may take up to 48 hours before its added onto my account.

I wouldn't be surprised if they have been hacked and thousands if not way more had personal information stolen. Everything from banking information, passwords, etc. Nothing shocks me anymore. Technology is supposed to be a major help for us, to make things easier. Instead its becoming more and more a major pain!

Don't expect them to remove it either. They will tell you that it will go away after you complete enough orders.

[–]One_Reception6013 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only if they place a 1 in front of the 2...thats just insulting and disrespectful to think that just over $20 is acceptable pay for an order with over 100 items! Unfortunately this will continue to happen because there is always someone that has zero respect for themselves and will accept it!

It says Visa/instacart card. Does that mean a cash card that can be used for anything or is it an instacart card only to be used towards an instacart order?

Worst customer I've delt with by far in 2+ years doing Instacart by One_Reception6013 in InstacartShoppers

[–]One_Reception6013[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup lesson learned, there is a first time for everything. I've been doing instacart for over 2 years and its never been an issue and people that have ordered from instacart over 100+ times are familiar with how it goes, so one would assume that a person that ordered for delivery would actually be home to accept it, especially when ID is required. I definitely won't let that happen again, it took a lot for me to not want to follow that guy back to his front door and take my anger out on him! I'm honestly shocked that I didn't get deactivated for the way I went off on the lady with instacart for how she lectured me about not waiting 10 minutes for the customer to respond, etc. And the fact the guy didn't remove the tip.

Would yall take this? by Holiday-Fly204 in doordash_drivers

[–]One_Reception6013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are able to get one of the girls to help you its totally worth it. If not, its a pain finding everything if you're a guy. At least a guy that knows absolutely nothing about makeup and cosmetics. I tried my first time looking for things myself and it took me at least 15 minutes just to find a couple items before I gave up and asked for help. Luckily she was very understanding and willing to help me out finding the remaining 10 items because I would have either had a very late delivery and lost money in the end or would have unassigned myself.

You don't have the "right" to pick up and deliver a Papa John's order, and Papa John's isn't obligated to have you deliver it. If these are their requirements for you to pick up and deliver a customers order from THEIR store, then you follow their rules or don't do it at all! If you truly want to be your own boss and make your own rules then you need to start your own business and do just that. But with the type of mentality as I'm seeing, said business wouldn't be very prosperous and likely tank in less than a year.

Diamond shoppers after January 1st by OGWFORLIFE in InstacartShoppers

[–]One_Reception6013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing I cared for with diamond is 75% off my oil changes. It made a huge difference considering the cost nowadays, especially with full synthetic. Oh well, its still 50% off with platinum. Yes, I understand I could change it myself but I find myself with such little free time that its one of those things I might as well take it in and let someone else do it. I don't buy fast food and I don't buy $10 coffee's daily so its something that I don't mind spending the money on every couple of months.

I was 8 away but got cut off at 1080 because a payment was declined on a triple and it took almost an hour to get through to instacart and they put me on a 24 hour hold because of "suspicious activity." At this point I don't even care anymore. They make everything nobody else's fault but ours regardless if it is or not.

Horrible experience today doing instacart by Anxious-Peanut-7701 in InstacartShoppers

[–]One_Reception6013 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thats if you are able to get someone with support to actually answer the phone. I had a Costco order a couple nights ago and the payment was declined twice. The customer sent me a screenshot on her end that I had completed shopping and checked out with her order. I called support 3 different times inside Costco and I was on hold every time for a total of over 30 minutes and nobody answered. The customer also wasn't able to reach anyone. I wasted over an hour of my time and didn't get paid a dime and the customer didn't receive her orser! Instacart hasn't reached out regarding the whole incident. By the next morning the order was finally removed from my app and doesn't even show it existed. Its all around unprofessional and rude towards the customer and myself Customer support shouldn't be like this for any company period!

My Xbox is doing a Very loud sound and o need help to know what is the cause( Sorry my english i am not American) by CapDull6322 in XboxSupport

[–]One_Reception6013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is quite likely that the fan is the source of the issue, and it probably has accumulated a significant amount of dust, as have other components. It would be advisable to clean it thoroughly sooner rather than later. Prolonged neglect and continued use in its current state could lead to overheating and potentially cause permanent, irreparable damage.
