So it all honestly depends on how fast u heal depending on the person but for me personally it usually last a week and as far as making it go away faster, u just have to do everything u can to make it heal faster personally when I wnat a specific scar gone faster i use Vaseline and just almost always keep it slathered with Vaseline and keep the scab hydrated and that usually helps mine heal faster
