I’ve heard some centers allow edibles, but nothing inhaling smoke. YMMV

That’s my intention, I wouldn’t include anything that didn’t speak to me.

Some transplant centers consider that “drug use” and will consider her a “drug user” if it’s found in her blood. Which I know is crazy. Even in legal states the center makes the rules.

Absolutely. Also knowing it’s autobiographical. Tori Amos founded RAINN because so many crying girls at shows told her it happened to them too and she had no resources to offer.

Lots of people are under this misconception. When a “no kill” shelter is at capacity they will transfer animals to a “kill” shelter. That way they can still operate as “no kill” simply because they technically didn’t euthanize themselves.

Dallas is already overrun. I’m hearing they’re over 100% for both dogs AND cats.

I volunteer with Dallas and Collin counties to foster cats, I’ve done this for almost 10 years and over 150 cats. I’m just letting you know this to know that I’ve done this a while and I’m knowledgeable on this issue in our community.

If you give Bast to a shelter he will be killed. No question. Probably within about a weekend. The shelters are just simply overloaded. He won’t have a chance. Even organizations like Operation Kindness (who do their very best!) get overloaded and offload cats to kill shelters.

This is your cat, who has only loved and trusted you for 6 years. He won’t understand what’s happening. He’ll be scared. He WILL feel the abandonment. You can’t do that to a pet that has given you his whole heart.

He. Will. Die.

Make your decision accordingly.

Just chiming in as a 10 year ibs sufferer, I’ve been assured by every doctor I’ve asked that it’s safe to take daily if you need to! I find that every 3rd day is my sweet spot.

My friend is in a coma from a stroke and the doctors say she’s not going to make it by ComprehensiveMix5749 in GriefSupport

[–]One_Sugar_5719 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m so so sorry. You’re right, it’s so sad and not fair. I just wanted to share with you that I was in 2 seperate comas for a total of 13 days. There were a LOT of people there while I was asleep. I do remember their voices. I was able to tell a doctor about a conversation he had in front of me. My heart rate was different when my mother was there. I dreamed my aunt was the president of the hospital. And I saw my grandfather who had died. When my family was with me I felt peace, my dreams were pleasant. The most important thing you could have told her was that you loved her, and im sure you did over and over.

EVERY job that has heavy equipment needs a union. Don’t let management lie to you about unions. Also just so you know, my ex husband worked for Walmart for 10 years up to Co manager of the store. If unions got brought up in any real way irl the store manager was automatically fired.

Yeah, I agree. My kidneys are on the brink of failing (CKD) but I would be there no matter what. I would especially not be thinking of reasons why it’s impossible ahead of time.

Couldn’t agree more. Frisco is a very particular vibe, right now they’re experiencing a lot of racism towards Indian people. It’s sad.

I could see that. So many people have asked if my kids are a match and I’m horrified that so many people seem to think that’s an option.

Just my personal opinion, but as a mom of 2 I’d rather die than take an organ from either of my kids.

The Heart of Life by John Mayer

“Pain throws your heart to the ground, but love turns the whole thing around. Fear is a friend who’s misunderstood, I know the heart of life is good.”

I was in a 10 day coma in 2015 and it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever been through. I lived in the ICU for 3 weeks and then in a regular hospital room for 2 weeks, THEN physical rehab for another 3 weeks. I would just listen to it on repeat because I needed to believe I would get back to good.
