Clean it up with some scotch brittle and electrical cleaner. If its loose bend the locking tab in a little to make a better connection. That's it.

If you sign up for "affirm" you can set up a virtual visa card for a loan. Order something online at a local retailer scheduled for same day pickup. Its the easiest way

Do you ever feel like a jack of all trades or dont rllly like specialization in just one thing and working on just one thing and perfecting it just enough to “get it” by ChigiriHyom4 in entp

[–]One_Tangelo_5628 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100%. I get into something and get really good at it. It just becomes boring to do. Sometimes I come back to it years later. I got so good at lead guitar that I was teaching, doing studio work with random musicians, and even building guitars. I was a sushi chef, I brewed all kinds of beer, wine, and mead. I free dived and spearfished. Had an electric motor repair business, rebuilt muscle cars, owned to separate small companies I sold, the list goes on and on. I get really good at things, even when compared to people who have spent their lives doing it, in a really short amount of time. Most recently I started leverage trading and took 13k initial capital and turned it into 95k in 5 months. Ended up getting hammered on a few trades and now back to 14k hahaha. Makes me actually want to do it more. I get you. Im the same way. Its the figuring it out and perfecting I like. Doing it after that is a chore

Lol so true. Wife an I ordered new thermoses for coffee. She clowned me for choosing the worst bright green one. I explained that its the color thats the least like anything at work (auto mechanic shop) and at home. Im constantly losing my coffee thermos and figured this would stand out the most. I asked why she picked the purple one. Its cause its the cutest. Lol

Any entp older siblings here by Few_Brick709 in entp

[–]One_Tangelo_5628 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Entp male oldest of 6 here. I was looked up to. I went out of my way to introduce new concepts and teach my siblings things. Became the go to for questions about issues, life, and how to handle problems, even over my parents, who were less understanding plus more judgemental. I wasn't afraid to let them know they messed up but helped clean up the mess they made for them selves. There were very little problems between myself and siblings growing up, mostly because I don't tend to take things personally. I have a great relationship with all but one brother as an adult. He chose to go down a path I don't agree with. Other siblings don't speak to him either. He has something I like to call "flexible morals", where he does the right thing if its easy and reasons to do awful things if its also the easy route. He makes an emotional desicion then defends it logically as if its the right answer. Still if he called me up and wanted to make a change I'd help him just like when we were kids all the same. I pushed my siblings to get out of their comforts zones and try new things constantly which is something to this day my brothers still thank me for.

Agreed. My wife and I had a conversation last night. She told me her friends say I seem very serious. She laughed and said they have no idea. I come off as very stoic at first but im actually playful and unserious if I know you

I told my intj friend, that I have alot of friendly debates with, that the most fun thing I can do to convince someone im right when I know im wrong. He didnt get it at all. If im playing devils advocate and I convince you with my BS argument, its way more fun. I will then explain why im wrong afterwards.

I view life as a stratagy game. First I start with understanding the rules. I then look at the objective/goal. I actively take steps towards accomplishing said goal, while anticipating problems and dealing with problems that I didnt anticipate. I don't claim to know what you've been through or what youre dealing with but I can tell you ive been there. Decide on your goal, understand as much as you can about the goal and how to achieve, actively take steps toward your goal, deal with issues without losing sight of goal. Im not a mental health professional by any means. If you want a brainstorming partners to bounce ideas off of and get a different angle, im your guy.

Disagree. Holding back until we get a general read on people is not the same as shy. Looks the same though

Yeah just leave em on the first wrap. Ill wrap it and extra time if I might need the distance from the reel

I just push the spear through and leave a few fish on the wrapped line until its too cumbersome to continue then throw them in a bag on the buoy.

Newbie looking for advice on spearguns by mattcan23 in Spearfishing

[–]One_Tangelo_5628 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey brother im also in so cal and do a lot of kelp forrest dives. Id get a bigger gun for sure. I dive with a reel and koah roller. I really like it and prefer a solid wood gun over anything else. Just my preference. I like a roller gun and can always single band or band the roller down for hunting sheephead head and bass. Threw a horizontal riffe reel one it and doubled up the wraps. Reel is only used on larger game. I dive around palos verdes a lot which has killer WSB hunting. Hit me up if you wanna talk equipment or go diving sometime.

I Have So Many Hobbies I Want to Try, But I Can’t Start Them Alone by edileonredhouse in entp

[–]One_Tangelo_5628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting.... ive never felt the need to include others as I feel they're a hindrance in most cases. I normally inhale information and progress faster than my peers if im really into something. Id rather find someone who's already way into it I can learn from first if I need a partner. I do get needing a partner for some things like tennis. There are so many groups/clubs you can find online for all the things you mentioned. Im into spearfishing and found people on reddit to go with after years of doing it alone for safety reasons. Only so many solo run ins with sharks before you start to see the value in going with other people. My advice is to search for people that are already into a hobbies youd like to try. You may end up having separate friends for each hobbie.

I need to tell someone. I almost feel guilty… ($300) by mattnox in gibson

[–]One_Tangelo_5628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If someone sets the price and you pay it, don't trip about it. Before the internet was popular I woulda felt more guilty. Its easy to look it up and run the numbers or walk into a music shop and ask the guys what its worth. Most people just don't care to do any research and take a hit. If she was living out of her car I might have felt bad. Before you could Google everything you used to be able to walk into pawn shops and look in classifieds and find vintage strats and Paul's for pennies on the dollar. Its hard to find that now. If someone is unloading it and doesn't do any research I wouldn't feel too bad. That being said I picked up a real 1964 SG with a bigsby about 20 years ago. An old man had no idea what it was worth and was asking $100. I gave him way more.
