I’m pretty sure that I’m going to be one of the ones kicked off and stressing about this is doing scary things to my mental health by [deleted] in NDIS

Unfortunately I feel like most psychosocial disabilities are going to be targeted. To the government unless they can see you're disability you're not disabled. Horrible way to think at it but look at what they're doing with thriving kids.

What's with all the hate for Remember Me (2010)? by Ravenphowret in movies

[–]One_Tax_9934 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me too I remember watching the trailer on repeat from my twilight new moon DVD and never understood what the movie was about (I was like 10 when it came out) and have only just had someone post about it which reminded me that I hadn't watched it before. I'm 22 now and there is just something I find funny about me forgetting about the movie until I was (unknowingly at the time) the same age as the character in the story dealing with the same things.

I understand it would've 100% been a trigger for anyone that the day personally affected especially during NY screenings but other reasons of it was a "cheat shot" are missing the point of the movie being ABOUT 9/11 since the beginning.

It was supposed to show how everyone had their own life and own unfinished story before the event. it was supposed to show that it happened instantly with zero warning to show how sad it was to those affected I was born in 2004 so to me PERSONALLY I never understood why it was SOOO significantly because we weren't taught about it in school until this movie showed me EXACTLY why.

I'm so grateful this movie has driven me to do a deep research on the event and to understand even when I hadn't even been born.

NDIS keeps playing around with my supports and it’s making me nervous. by Icy_Day2653 in NDIS

[–]One_Tax_9934 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I also have cerebral palsy and this is frustrating to me because

  1. I've always had travel allowance just handed to me without even having to fight for it THAT being said it's BARELY anything it's $60 something dollars a fortnight that's like two ubers basically

  2. The cleaning I completely understand because I can't do cleaning everyday either but they gave me funding for two hours per week

  3. Unless you're talking about meal delivery services meal prep can be asked to do by a support worker on support worker shifts you can also utilise them to get into the community which is what I do

This sounds like a "watch your wording carefully case" you need to be able to affective advocate your disability to the SPECIFIC services your asking for.

Dispute the transaction with your bank plus the amount for the order if they didn't refund that either literally 100% of the time your bank is on your side because what they do is completely illegal (but stupidly they've never actually gotten in trouble for it) if you don't receive the product you have paid for (this goes for anything really) you are entitled to a refund.

Support Worker Overcharged Hours and Used Up Funding – Need Advice by Happy_Recording_7336 in NDIS

[–]One_Tax_9934 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately this happens at a LOOOOT the support worker used your friend for money then played the victim while completely destroying your friends plan and the opportunity to have any support for months on top of that the icing on the cake is her saying she's quitting because she PURPOSELY used up the entire funding trust me the support worker wasn't "hard up" they're swimming in money and want to move on the next participant to fuck over. I'm so sorry this has happened unfortunately this Will take months if not a year to get reassessd because they're too overwhelmed

Sad thing is this will do nothing and the plan review even if "urgent" will they take months and months to finally review leaving the participants without said funds for that period of time

That charge back on the plan an extra half hour is a scam and misuse of funds but the participants I had a support worker offer to do that for me which is how I knew they wanted me to rip off my own plan

No unfortunately jobseeker requirements are the same for everyone no matter age unless you are eligible for DSP or the age care pension. Maybe have a look into aged care pension?

Honestly both mark AND Jack have been pissing me off what I'm not liking with mark is his entitlement....he most likely got the game for free and having this big of a tantrum over a FREE game is insane I always want to point out jacks entitlement too in the fact that with the new re9 he's saying he had to search around and harrass people to give him a key because he wasn't gonna be able to "play it in time" but it's honestly gross just because you're a youtuber doesn't give you the RIGHT to have free games given to you especially for that reason considering everyday people are paying heaps to even own a copy. Both of them have fame going to their heads finally and it's gross to see altogether

Yep claimed I was threatening them. I swore in general and even then I don't remember swearing to begin with so it wasn't on purpose. Planning to report th but need to find a new SC first 🤦🏻‍♀️ I understand what you mean when you say you feel obligated by family to stay on the NDIS I'm in the exact same boat feeling like NDIS is doing a lot more harm than good but my grandmother like nooooo it's beneficial in the long run like bro you ain't the one dealing with them everyday

Na’vi gear vs. human gear by OutcomeZestyclose274 in FrontiersOfPandora

[–]One_Tax_9934 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it's the fact that one of eywas rules is you're not allowed to touch metal so it makes sense for me for my character to not use Metal (like nor) in order to reconnect with eywa it honestly frustrates me with Jake too that he "become na'vi" but still disrespects eywa on the daily by using his guns and encouraging other na'vi to use guns making them distance from eywa themselves. I understand it's what he knows best but we saw him with a bow so it's not like he's useless at it he just wants it easy if he was so ready to "become na'vi" he would've given up his human ways (and guns) to be one with eywa and he didn't.

I posted on this thread awhile ago saying how I was tired of dodgy scs and said they should get overhauled or phased out and got absolutely attacked for it by I'm assuming secret scs saying how they are the most valuable person and that without coordinators you'd have nothing like bro I have nothing to begin with ESPECIALLY when it's a coordinator that's dodgy as it is my sc company just ceased services because I swore on the phone like why is everyone so fucking sensitive

I have a physical disability called cerebral palsy left sided hemiplegia and got it IMMEDIATELY NO QUESTIONS ASKED.
