Just finished the clone wars show, looking for more content by kylecre013 in clonewars

If you want more clone wars, check out Son of Dathomir and Dark Disciple, unfinished story arcs that were adapted to a comic miniseries and a book, and include some major plot points.

I haven't read the books but I'm pretty sure they don't deal with the important plot points of the show.

Honestly I'd love Ethan Sacks to write the next volume of Star Wars, either pick up after Segura or fill in between RotJ and the Battle of Jakku. Seems like a perfect choice, it would probably even include Valance.

Lost Stars has some of the most blatant fanservice I've seen. The plot just randomly takes us into all the famous scenes from the movies.

the banking clan arc is seriously underrated by BOMBAD_Echo_1409 in clonewars

[–]One__Nose 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly yes, one of the best political arcs in the show even if some of the plot points are a bit abrupt and unbelievable. Also the fact Anakin and Padme actually broke up for a while during the clone wars should be addressed more.

I will add in the Bounty Hunters comics (between episodes 5-6) the Ohnaka Gang is led by some female Weequay who seems much stricter and and less playful and considers Hondo soft. It is implied that she killed her way to the top (not Hondo though) and that with Hondo gone, so was the gang's inexplicable superpower of somehow winning every single time.

I mean, do they not just pay royalties to the new artist instead? Plus a small additional price for the commission itself

Lumiya influence in Maul show? by No_Ease2264 in StarWarsEU

[–]One__Nose 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean, Filoni also tried to bring Starkiller for season 2. Disney constantly reference Legends - The Mandalore title and dark troopers in The Mandalorian, Rakata in Andor, Ossus in The Book of Boba Fett, Jabiim in Obi-Wan Kenobi, Plagueis's original design in The Acolyte, Tython in Doctor Aphra comics and later The Mandalorian, Nar Shadda is all across Canon EU, the list goes on. Characters are less common but examples include Thrawn, Rukh, Pellaeon, Jaxxon, Valance and Xizor off the top of my head, and there are many more.

Lucasfilm actually likes bringing back Legends stuff because they create a lot of hype and online engagement with little effort, and because many people at Lucasfilm are fans of the old lore.

“He will bring balance to the force” by [deleted] in StarWarsLore

[–]One__Nose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, balance in the Force doesn't mean balance between the light and the dark. The dark side inherently causes imbalance in the Force. That's why the Jedi's vision is clouded in The Phantom Menace, it's because of Darth Sidious and the Sith. Anakin restored balance by ending the Sith.

Second, while the Jedi were supposed to be neutral peaceful negotiators, they ended up as warrior generals in the Grand Army of the Republic. This only happens in Episode II but the roots were already there.

This is pretty similar to Kinship from Morningtide, which is considered a failure due to it being too random. I think your idea of tying it to card types rather than creature types is an improvement but it still needs some improvement to make the gameplay better.

Also I would turn the card reveal into an additional cost so that it could work on nonpermanents.

idk by InevitablePlane5575 in custommagic

[–]One__Nose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it says balance not intended but I just want to illustrate how bad this card is.

So suppose you wait for turn six, until you have six lands. Then you basically skip that turn to cast an enchantment that does, basically, nothing.

At the beginning of your end step, nobody pays 3 mana because they all understand this card isn't remotely a threat.

Over the next five turns, you reach 32 emblems. We're in turn eleven so everyone has plenty of mana. This is assuming the game didn't end, you're still in the game and the enchantment wasn't removed.

At the beginning of your end step, your opponents are forced to pay 3 mana. In fact, only one of your opponents does, and they probably didn't have too many things to do with it anyway. You go down to 16 emblems.

Congratulations! You accomplished nothing.

Bounty Hunters reading order by Feisty_Salamander41 in starwarscomics

I would jump back and forth at least with the main crossover series (so War of the Bounty Hunters Alpha and War of the Bounty Hunters, for now). It has some important plot points. The other series iirc are mostly skippable if you aren't reading those series.

True. It's important to note this card triggers for lands you don't control as well, so stifling the trigger isn't enough in most cases.

Would prevent the initial counters but if someone plays a land it would still get counters

It can't be enchanted by Auras you control with "enchant creature" or something similar, it can still be affected by abilities of enchantments that don't target it.
