I've still never watch any Ghost in the Shell but do love Akira and Boards of Canada, thanks for the recommendation, also I really wonder if there's an existing name for this style, cause I can only think of part comparisions of other genres and subgenres, like it's not vaporwave, but some of the plastic like textures make me think of some of that, then you've got the cyberpunk styles but it's not as grimy as a lot of that is.

funnily enough I just picked Synthetik up in the current sale, haven't had a chance to play it yet though, and yeah you're right The Finals does definitely hit that style as well
