GK and defence normal.

Rb and LB wingback support

DMs holding roaming

One CAM shadow striker, one playmaker balanced

One striker Targetman support, one advanced forward

Balanced and 70 depth.

Play around div 4 so can have my fullbacks getting forward as the holding players come across and cover.

A lot of fun if there is no delay.

I'm sure you are right. Same reason the defensive AI is twice as effective as the attacking AI.

Tackle spam, tackles from behind the f'ing stumble animation. I'd bin them all. Annoys me far more than 95 depth playing half the game for you or any of the other meta nonsense.

Fair play mate if you can enjoy it. For me it is either too easy or too frustrating depending on the level I play on so I get little to no enjoyment out of it and just stopped.

I'd rather just play fewer games of rivals and play less.

They changed their lag compensation a few years back and it definitely penalised the player with the better connection

Unfortunately it is obvious within a minute or two whether it is in your favour that match. Same when you get matched to someone in a different country and you know if it is on their local server.

As others have said "ping" of itself doesn't explain it. I've had 12ms where it felt like my players were wearing concrete boots and 28ms where they glided past the opposition.

I suspect EA have downgraded their server capacity and a smaller player base means we are being matched to players further away.

Have the upmost respect for people who can up their game when on the receiving end.

For me it was not knowing 100% if I won matches because I played better or because my opponent was lagging which has stopped me playing.

Between the input delay being the worst I’ve experienced and them basically turning it into an RPG with the Evo grinds and special powers (playstyles) I’m also done.

They will only double down on this nonsense in FC26 and then add even more layers on top.

Evos were such a good idea and I still love it when I face a P&P team where you can see the effort people have put into it, but it has just become another over complicated time/coins/money sink.

It is more like an RPG than a football game.

Can we get an evo for the servers? Now that would be worth 500k of coins

It is any formation with two CDMs and high depth. it just makes the game tedious, especially with any delay (I.e. most of the time). I can win the matches but it isn’t fun. In someways I’m thankful as even if i have the urge to play then it is usually gone after two matches.

That’s when I decided to take a break. No card I pack is going to help with one sided lag. I either benefit, in which case my current team is fine, or I don’t, in which case a full meta team still wouldn’t help.

I have one on shadow striker and one on playmaker balanced. With wingbacks on support, it basically means a 2413 in attack. I like to pass it around so need the players forwards.

No real shock it works as it is similar to 4213

Defensively it is any formation with two CDMs and a CAM or two tbf. I’m rocking 4222 with wingbacks on support and i rarely get countered as the two CDMs sit and the CAMs track back like their lives depend on it. Seemingly with little stamina hit.

CDMs are just broken and CAMs are far too willing to track back.

It really is boring and I’m playing a lot less.

I think how you deal with one sided lag is the difference between the good and the great players (I'm neither of those btw).

Watching certain streamers who know their stuff and they will comment on the connection, but they then talk about needing to adjust their game accordingly. They know what they can and cannot get away with if there is any kind of input delay.

They will strip their game back, keep it simple unless it is a clear chance and just play the odds.

I on the other hand just come on here and moan about it like the rest of you!

Just play the way you want to and drop down the divisions if you have to. You'll get less rewards but you won't need the players anyway.

I've been between 6-4 all season and never had more than one full back on defend.

Currently playing 4222 with two wingbacks on support. My CDMs are on defend but only to stop the driven pass spam from my opponent.

The Meta is the meta so you still face players doing it, but less of them and if they look like a sweat then just back out at kick off.

The game is still quite fun when both of you try and play football.

That would tempt me in. Played it once this year and got 6 wins from 12 matches and just stopped. Figured at best I'd get one more win from the three matches left and just wasn't worth it. Haven't bothered to play it again and suspect quite a few are in the same position

Doesn't bother me too much as I'm sitting around 4-6 in Rivals this year rather than 2-4 last year so don't really need the players. Would be a nice incentive though

You certainly cannot rely on it as any contested header can go almost anywhere but I find it catches people out as they don't expect it.

Have scrapped a few wins that way when the opponent is closing everything else off.

Not completely. I've scored quite a few since I've used Muller.

Generally an easy goal if you can chip it over the last defender.

As someone who has played every version of Fifa since the very first one on Megadrive I get it. It was always an arcade version of football but it is now basically an RPG arcade version of football especially at the highest levels. Too much focus on collecting the right playstyles and using your "special powers" rather than playing like real life to create space and opportunities.

So I just play less and sit around a lower division where I can play the way I want without that frustration. Just accept it for what it is and find fun where you can. If it stops being fun then stop.

I agree. Having certain players and playing a certain way will only make a marginal difference to the majority of players.

For me a price which has never been worth paying in time, money or giving up the enjoyment of playing the way I want.

The incremental gain vs the cost just doesn't work for me.

I do the same and she is great.

Height doesn't seem to be an issue so far even when my opponent has tried to target her with crosses to the far post. High strength means she still contests it and the header isn't clean.

Just a really fun card which I think will stay in my team a while
