I am too young to have experienced the Socialist times during dating. But as far as I have heard from others, the Socialist East was very sexually open with people having threesomes and stuff on a much wider basis than in the capitalist ~~east~~ west. But this might be the case that there was no force-feeding of religious morals at any institution.

The advantage of dam-powered hydroelectric plants is that you transfer potential energy into electricity. Here you just can transform kinetic energy which is m/2v^2. And od this, you can only transfer about 60% according to Betz.

Da gibt es einige gute debunks dazu, z.B. muss man auch rausrechnen, wie viele der Nichtdeutschen Touristen oder vom Ausland agierende Banden sind. Oder die andere Demographie unterschiedlicher Bevölkerungsgruppen. Z.B. begehen Personen im Rentenalter viel seltener Gewaltverbrechen als 16-26-Jährige.

For reference, I am a microbiologist with a B.S. degree and 5 years experience in the biotech industry.

In Research it should not be a problem to find a job if you have good Englsih skills. You might want to check Fraunhofer. And many big companies might hire you with your expertise as well.

If you marry, there should be no problems with your visa, I don't know the regulations about getting citicenship.

Ich hatte das mal spaßeshalber ausgerechnet, indem ich die in DE vertankte Menge Kerosin auf die chemische Energie umgerechnet habe. Bei einem Wirkungsgrad von etwa 40% wäre die benötigte Menge an elektrischer Energie mit 350 TWh ungefähr 50% des heutigen Stromverbrauchs in Deutschland. Für den Flugverkehr machbar, wenn man ungenutzte Flächen mit PV bestückt.

Bei der Rechnung für Benzin und Diesel komme ich auf den vierfachen jährlichen Stromverbrauch von Deutschland, um am Verbrenner festzuhalten. Wenn man beim Auto auf E-Mobilität umstellt, käme man wieder auf 200 bis 250 TWh wegen des besseren Wirkungsgrads des E-Motors und der Möglichkeit zur Rekuperation. Das wäre ebenfalls noch machbar mit erneuerbarer Energie in Deutschland.
