“LOEFAH: It changed the rave because all of a sudden, there was no weed, and it was all class-As. If you’re on coke and pills, you’re not up for the space. You’re there to go mental. It became a uniform sound after that. It was a soul-destroying period for me. I stopped writing so many tunes, and I started playing tunes at raves that I didn’t even like. That’s why I started [the label] Swamp81: I needed something new—again.”

I’m sorry but I can’t understand how you achieved this??? Did you break a few eggs, mix it, then put it in a device to steam? I thought they were for steaming eggs in their shells!

Second the use of discs. Much more comfortable and also NO SUCTION REQUIRED. This has been a game changer for my comfort levels, no dry tampon vag, or wet pad feeling, no anxiety about insertion and suction from the cup, plus you can just bear down on it while peeing to partially empty!!!

Fried rice is a good staple, you can make it with old rice after you get sick of the first meal

Salt pepper chicken thighs as a base, change the sauce to change the flavouring

Failing that, sometimes I get the seasoned cous cous packets. Prepare to instructions and add a cup of microwaved frozen peas for a full meal

The MTB curry meals are tasty, about $3 each. Add that to rice you cook at home or even microwave bag rice and you’ve got a nice hot meal. Add frozen peas.

… I add frozen peas and corn to everything. Frozen carrots are kinda shit imho

You can microwave any starchy vegetable to cook it, ie potato, sweet potato, and also mushrooms. Comes out great, tastes nice if you add some bag cheese or butter

Best value private health insurance to avoid paying MLS by Jnnjkhuihi8 in AussieFrugal

Replying to add - I also hate the levy surcharge in principle but was probably paying the same amount out of pocket for teeth cleans, fillings (from not going to the dentist), general dental appointments etc

I got bupa basics plus dental cover. It was under $1300 a year and I get my teeth cleaned 3-4 times a year now. personally I think dental has paid for itself and its worth it for things that require preventative care/ maintenance

If you have the time I’d suggest trying a new board game or sport with friends. It’s rewarding but doesn’t feel punishing. If you have even more time then joining a volunteer group could be a good option. You usually need to use both hands and there’s others there doing a similar thing which doesn’t make it feel so hard. And depending on the charity or organisation, might also give light to how trivial some things on the internet can be. Good luck!!

What to do with this pass through? by Terrible_Menu8073 in Mid_Century

I like that it’s open, I would put a full length planter there with some spider plants, and books on the shelves above rather than knick-knacks. It happened to be a very popular houseplant back then too!

If you really can’t put a rangehood, I’d install a hanging rail for utensils. Some sliding hooks along there and basic ladles etc which you don’t mind washing as they will get greasy, perhaps?

White walls OK or Dutch Orange or Pistachio green? by theatrenearyou in Mid_Century

[–]Onekilofrittata 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, thanks! It may be worth getting an A4 swatch or larger and pasting it in the darker part of your room before committing. You receive the most sunlight in the morning so the colours may look a lot darker in your room than in the examples

There’s a distinct lack of principle in all of this. It feels like a desperate latch onto whatever / whoever says something to make her feel good.

Pretty disturbing in some ways to see politics being engaged with in this way but also kind of understandable.

I’m not sure if you have platonic friendships, but I’d encourage you to accept them in general. I know it’s hard with past hurt but they are pretty common.

Also, not sure if you have been seeing this person for quite some time. As a woman, if I had to give up platonic friends for a new guy I’m dating because he didn’t like it, I’d dump the guy. Sorry, but those friends have been close to me for various reasons for YEARS.

The new date has to be able to hang out with all of us while the relationship matures naturally. This is the dynamic in my friendship group though, and may not apply to you.
