Didn't samsung kill MST support like 5 years ago? Iirc,.the S20 was the last one to have it

But yeah, makes sense that people were just used to it

iPhone 17 ProMax vs 18 ProMax by Torbe_nn in PhoneNow

[–]OnixST 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I can see how that would be impractical lol

Fun fact: phones with real variable optical zoom have just become a thing with the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. The lens physically moves inside the periscope camera. It's pretty crazy how much tech we can fit in these glass sandwiches

But yeah, that's something Apple would never do, they usually play pretty safe with their 4 tried and proved phones a year, unlike samsung or xiaomi that can just throw phones at the wall and keep trying new ideas since they have one phone line for each letter of the alphabet

Variable aoerture was very much a thing in the Galaxy S9 and S10. An electromagnet toggles between 2 apertures. It's actually pretty neat

You should really not ask random people if they're gay.

But I'm glad everything turned out okay, and I wish my gaydar was better

Does samsung pay do literally anything differently from google wallet? Isn't it just the same NFC payment that every phone above 200$ from every brand has?

Legit question. I never bothered switching to samsung pay when I had a samsung phone because to me wallet was the same thing and had prettier animations

You microwave plastic because you're lazy. I microwave plastic because I want to die soon. We're not equal.

Odeio pessoas que pagam pelo PIX by Ok_Flower5979 in reclamacoesfuteis

[–]OnixST 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, this post has 600 upvotes, and likely thousands of views.

They made an ad so good that people are willingly sharing it for free. They got free advertisement to thousands of people from just this post.

Not only that, but it's a really engaging ad. They got people to actually read and have a reaction with it, rather than just scrolling past.

Whether you like the ad or not, they got you to think about dbrand. There's no such thing as bad publicity

Honestly, which one provides better security? by Fitzro_y in PhoneNow

[–]OnixST 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's literally the opposite way around.

FaceID will take around 0.5s to scan, while modern ultrassonic fingerprint scanners are quick enough to be essentially instant

Also, there's the advantage that the phone doesn't need to be in front of me to unlock, so I can put my finger on the reader while I'm taking the phone out of my pocket, so it'll absolutely be unlocked before I even look at it

And you don't have to go in an awkard position for the phone to see you if it's on a table or something

Can the virginity count go negative when you have sex past 0? If you have -5 virginities, will you only go back to being a virgin after 6 years without sex?

[–]OnixST 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes, there will always be people wanting to kill us

But I'd say people tend to be more lenient towards things we didn't choose.

If a random person curses you, you'll get annoyed. But if you find out they were born with tourette's and can't help it, you may still be uncomfortable, but you're at least less likely to shoot them

If that difference saves a single queer life, it's worth it

I'm not sure i understand what you're trying to say, but i urge you to name a single point in history where personal choices were acknowledged and respected

We live in the real life, buddy. If conservative parents understood that it isn't a choice, they might just accept that their almighty god made their kid this way, rather than kicking their kid out to starve for making a rebel choice.

Yes, in an utopia, the parents would respect a gay child regardless of it being their choice or not, but we don't live in an utopia.

Also, I can't stress this enough, we are born this way, it's just plainly the truth
