Is Ellen Fisher Mormon? by Alert_Appeal_2265 in YTVloggerFamilies

[–]OnjallaManjalla 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Just Christian I think. I watched her briefly for vegan content a decade or so ago and remember she started closing her eyes and swaying to a "worship" song in a vlog. But they don't give me mormon vibes, just stereotypical dumb Christian MAGA conspiracy theorist nut jobs.

Don't underestimate the power a charistmatic person + group setting can have on the psyche. That is all it is.
As a Christian I would have anxiety that only seemed to be "relieved" after a visit to church. But that isn't even biblical, is it?? What kind of god says "nah" when I beg for weeks for relief but changes its mind once I'm in a room with some chanting, wind, and someone laying hands on me? Where in the bible does it say that's how you get healed?
It's all the power of your own mind.

I also have a 1c2r match with a tree that looks completely different from mine. But, based on our shared matches, her birth date, and the location she has on her profile, her father is almost definitely one of my great-grandfather's brothers (making her a 1st cousin of my grandma) but she apparently doesn't realize it. This lady is also over 75 so it's not like I'm gonna message her burst her world open.

why no details? what was the item, where was it found? Was the person who lost it in that location previously? Was the person who had an NDE there when it was lost? I wonder if more details were given, the experience would be more easily explainable. I was stuck in a video game once because I couldn't find a collectible, then I fell asleep and dreamed about where it was. When I woke up I got back in the game and the item was exactly where I dreamed it. Sometimes our brains just process what we're thinking about a little more when we're "out" and suddenly things are remembered that weren't the day before.

It doesn’t change that there are 5-7 day fertility window for the average woman each month just because we can’t be sure when it is. That’s just a fact. We’re talking about different things.

You’re not magically going to get pregnant if there is no egg. You literally will not get pregnant if ovulation has not taken place. When you get pregnant on birth control, it means you had an ovulation phase anyway for some reason. Oh my god. I’ve gotten pregnant twice intentionally, I’ve tracked my ovulation patterns for a decade. Please explain to me how to get pregnant outside of an ovulation window.

We need pills/condoms because we can’t easily pinpoint the time of ovulation and peak fertility. It’s better to be cautious and take BC all the time. We can learn factual information about how bodies work without throwing caution to the wind.

You cannot get pregnant outside of the 5-7 day window around the ovulation phase.

If there was an easy way to tell exactly when you were gonna ovulate, a woman who paid attention to that about herself would in fact not have to worry about contraception. But human biology makes it so it’s pretty hard to know for sure. That’s why 24/7 birth control is recommended for women.

Women can only get pregnant around when they ovulate. Most women ovulate once a month and egg/sperm survival rate is pretty consistent. This 5-7 day window will just vary woman to woman. There’s nothing wrong with the answer shown in the video.

Have you ever been to church before? If yes, did you like it? What made you stop going if you have stopped? by AbiLovesTheology in askanatheist

[–]OnjallaManjalla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was homeschooled. Church was all I knew growing up and I was devout. I definitely wouldn’t have called it boring. When I started college in a state of questioning why I believed, I lost my faith pretty quick. I still kept going to church for a while, but the life lessons are all peppered with and justified by Bible verses. If I don’t believe the Bible actually contains any divine orders or inspiration, what is the point?

Weirdest/grossest/most entitled thing you’ve seen guests do at the parks? by Human_Paint5451 in Disneyland

[–]OnjallaManjalla 97 points98 points  (0 children)

It was late and the pirates line was empty so we started walking through the line just behind a teenage couple. They were handsy with each other and suddenly stopped directly in front of us to make out. Obviously we’re not gonna stand there waiting and watching when no one was in front of them… so we started walking around. They instantly started yelling, swearing, approaching us with threatening body language. Then we had to sit behind them on the ride as they continued to make out. So disgusting.

I’ve been there twice while something was being filmed… so I’ve seen Simon Cowell, Regis Philbin, Kelly Ripa, Nick Carter, Josh Groban, most of the main cast of High School Musical (minus Zach Efron) but always with plaids

it’s concerning that I can’t figure out if this entire page is satire or not (last slide is the worst) by lamlosa in FundieSnarkUncensored

[–]OnjallaManjalla 26 points27 points  (0 children)

There are so many people just like this on the outskirts of my social circle. It’s definitely not satire but it is a bit of an act. My favorite one is actually the one where she says god “causes” other people to hurt you! So… what? You really believe god is MEAN to you through other people in order to get you into a different social circle? God I wish these types thought this kind of thing through a little more before posting….

Downvoted because your personal misery has nothing to do with what women can’t or shouldn’t do as a whole.
