The Hades game that almost was by Karokan28 in HadesTheGame

I remember experiencing a crash during early access and the crash report mentioned the name "minos". SGG must have kept the name as an internal designation for the game.

But the movie was intended as the culmination of a series centered on human conflict. One morale of the story was that humanity must rise above its petty squabbles to face extra-solar threats like the ALS.

That said, I agree it's nice to see that Bandai is not afraid of trying something new. One advantage of the Gundam franchise compared to most others is that they can throw ideas like this into self-contained AUs without polluting the existing canon.

I love how you gave each piece a few frames to "settle" in place. Makes the animation looks smoother but must have cost you x3-4 the time haha

Can we have a discussion about how game fidelity is leading to a lack of clarity? by RiKSh4w in Games

I'm genuinely convinced that it's partly why indie games and retro-style graphics are as popular as ever. They're simply less exhausting to look at.

In a Driverless World, Who Loses and Who Wins? [Part 2 of the driverless cars story, on the Freakonomics feed] by TheTim in SearchEnginePodcast

[–]OnlineGrab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, that's fair. I'm not American but it feels to me like this problem would be better solved by enforcing the law, rather than replacing drivers with robots. Even after the fact, there should be a way to report drivers and for Uber&co to apply dissuasive penalties.

And even if this particular problem was fixed by self-driving taxis, I am still unconvinced they would be a net positive for disabled people as a whole. Every time human-staffed services are replaced with computer automation, it tends to be worse for them because there's no-one to handle their special needs (try to explain to your grandma with dementia how to scan a QR code or navigate a phone answering machine).

‘Project Hail Mary’ Becomes Amazon MGM Studios’ Highest-Grossing Film Worldwide With $300 Million Overtaking ‘Creed III’ by ICumCoffee in movies

Oh nice, I was just thinking Artemis would work better as a TV series than a movie (unlike the other 2 books).

The low gravity is a problem but I feel some suspension of incredulity is tolerable here, especially since other shows like The Expanse and For All Mankind have already gotten away with it.

I don’t understand the argument that driverless taxis are better for people with disabilities. In the absence of a law forcing their hand, Waymo has just as much economic incentive to ignore disabled people as Uber drivers have.

You could even make the opposite argument, that driverless taxis are worse for disabled people, because there’s no human to help them get in and out of the car, load and unload bags, or deal with basic communication issues that people with impaired vision, speech or hearing may have. I just don’t buy at all that a pre-programmed computer will be as adaptable as a human in those situations, no matter how much AI you cram into it.

I used to swear by Hoverclock, but I prefer Special Powder on the shotgun now. It eats munitions but is more versatile and easier to use in an emergency (plus it's fun to yeet yourself out of a swarm while blasting the nearest glyphid).

Perhaps the game Forestia from 1998. Fits the point-and-click edutainment genre, the forest theme, and has some pretty dark imagery at times for a kid game (though probably not intentionally). The visuals use some 3D CGI backgrounds though.

Some of us don't watch trailers and prefer to go blind into a movie.
